Fellow conservatives and other Trump supporters, I’m advising and BEGGING you to stay away from all inauguration day protests and events. The left is hoping you’ll be there so they can turn you into scapegoats for whatever violence their shock troops (antifa and BLM) will instigate. Stay home, continue to organize and prepare for a down economy and whatever will be coming our way. If you’re a believer in God, you can probably see that America is like Nineveh in the book of Nahum. We strayed away, didn’t listen to His prophets, and are about to be destroyed as a nation. God will take care of His kids, but I believe America is on the way off the world stage. Be ready for what happens next. As Joseph prepared Egypt for 7 years of famine, so should you prepare for what is coming. We may or may not be able to change the course of America at this point in history. Be patient. Be where God wants you to be, doing what He wants you to do, and wait. If you stay in the Word, on your knees (spiritually), and obedient, you’ll know what to do, and when to do it.

Money for Nothing, Checks for “Free”

I’m sick and tired of people whining about NOT getting something they DIDN’T earn, and don’t deserve.  Continuing to give people what they WANT instead of what the EARN is a perverse incentive that is destructive to character, and to an economy.

If an employee is still getting a paycheck like nothing has changed, why should taxpayers be put on the hook to give them MORE money that they didn’t earn?  If the company is able to save the money they would be paying the employee, they will have that money in reserve to continue paying the employee for a longer period of time if the the stimulus checks stop.

Now, if the employee has been laid off because the company can’t afford to pay them, then getting the full measure of the stimulus check is a no brainer.

Texas Company Looking To Take Federal Stimulus Money To Employees Back From Their Paychecks

 

A company in Austin, Texas, is looking to dock the pay of workers who receive stimulus checks from the federal government, according to a new report.

“The form says they are preemptively deducting funds from our paychecks. That number is based on what they’re anticipating the government relief fund to be,” a worker for the company told KXAN. The worker asked not to be identified in this investigation so as not to impact his company’s ability to continue doing business,” KXAN reported.

The worker said his company emailed a form titled “Employee Acknowledgement of ‘Government Assistance’ Pay Reduction” to some staffers on Wednesday. “In response to the economic crisis that is affecting all of us due to the coronavirus pandemic…(company name redacted) are hereby enacting the Employee Emergency Compensation Fund,” the letter stated.

The agreement would put workers under a “temporary compensation reduction that is in line with the assistance that it receives from the federal government related to the COVID-19 pandemic.” By signing the agreement, the company’s employees would have their paychecks between April 6 and April 20 cut by 100% of any money received under the stimulus bill.

The company would also take half of the $500 stipend allotted for dependents under the bill.

The worker told the station that the company laid off 25% of its workforce this week. The worker also said he thinks the company was using the money saved in those salaries from former workers to meet payroll.

“The company that I work for is a national company and they make hundreds of millions of dollars in profit a year and instead of making sacrifices at the higher levels, they’re passing it on down to everybody else,” the worker said.

“I think that this violates at least one law that we know of out there,” Austin labor attorney Austin Kaplan told KXAN.

“What they’re trying to do here, it looks like, is take people down to zero for at least one pay period, and the law wouldn’t permit that,” Kaplan told KXAN. “It also just looks like a bad idea. I think employers have other options that they can do than something like this — I haven’t seen something like this before.”

McConnell to Senate Republicans Opposed to Coronavirus Bill: ‘Gag and Vote for It Anyway’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell cracked the whip this week on potentially foot-dragging GOP colleagues in an effort to respond quickly as the coronavirus spreads across the country.

After the weekly Republican caucus meeting, McConnell expressed understanding regarding some of his colleagues’ concerns over a recently passed House pandemic response bill, but urged them to “gag and vote for it anyway” in order to quickly aid those affected by the outbreak.

“A number of my members think there are considerable shortcomings in the House bill,” McConnell told reporters following the meeting.

“My counsel to them is to gag and vote for it anyway, even if they they it has some shortcomings, and to address those shortcomings in the bill that we’re in the process of crafting.

“I cannot predict how long we will be here. But we will be here as long as it takes to pass yet another measure beyond the one that came over from the House,” the Kentucky Republican added.

The simple truth is that EVERY time TRUE conservatism is used, it wins. The Republican Party is NOT a true Conservative party anymore, and hasn’t been for a very long time. The establishment of the Republican Party is honestly only shades of gray different from the democrats they claim to be the alternative to.

We NEED a true conservative party, and now is the time. As long as we ran a forceful race, not being timid about getting the conservative message out, we COULD win. If we’re weak in fighting the battle, we’ll split the vote and hand power back to the anti-God, anti-American, baby-murdering, illegal immigrant catering, socialist/communist/Marxist democrats.

RINO Meghan McCain Shoots Off Her Mouth About Trump and Republicans

Just like her treasonous father, Meghan McCain wouldn’t know what “character” was if it bit her in her quite sizable posterior.  She often claims to be a conservative, but I get the impression she is a bit confused about what that really means.  

Part of both having “character,” and being a conservative, is having the COURAGE to fight for what is RIGHT.  In recent years, Republicans can’t often be accused of having courage, as they have habitually caved in to democrats on just about everything.

Meghan, you may not like Donald Trump and his style.  That’s you’re right.  However, you can’t argue that under Donald Trump the Republicans are willing to do at least a little of something they haven’t done in a LONG time, which is stand up to democrats on key issues.  They still have a long way to go to return to being the conservative party they once were, but with Trump as the catalyst, they are at least headed in the “right,” and CORRECT direction.

Meghan McCain, known these days for being the powerhouse conservative voice on “The View,” explained Saturday why she no longer considers herself a Republican, though still being a strong conservative who votes on the Republican ticket.

What did McCain say?

Without the leadership of her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who tragically lost his battle with brain cancer last summer, McCain told CNN’s Van Jones that the character of the Republican Party — now led by President Donald Trump — “seems to be gone.”

“I call myself conservative. I mean, I’m still a member of the Republican Party and I still vote on the Republican ticket, but Republicanism is so tied up with being for Trump,” McCain said, adding that she’s not a “NeverTrumper,” and is doing her best to navigate today’s complex political landscape.

Kavanaugh Joins Left to Protect Planned Parenthood

Justice Kavanaugh, we need an explanation. Justice Gorsuch has sometimes voted with the liberals, but has always had a constitutional conservative, and legal rationale for doing so. Perhaps you do as well, although I’m having trouble seeing how states can be denied the right to deny funds from supporting something that is morally reprehensible, and NOT protected under the Constitution.

Kavanaugh Joins Liberals To Protect Pro-Planned Parenthood Ruling

The Supreme Court declined to review three cases relating to Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the state level Monday, over a vigorous dissent from Justice Clarence Thomas.

The dissent was significant because it indicates that Justice Brett Kavanaugh sided with the high court’s liberal wing to deny review of a lower court decision that favored the nation’s largest abortion provider.

“So what explains the Court’s refusal to do its job here?,” Thomas wrote. “I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named ‘Planned Parenthood.’”

“Some tenuous connection to a politically fraught issue does not justify abdicating our judicial duty,” Thomas added. “If anything, neutrally applying the law is all the more important when political issues are in the background.”

The GOP Has Surrendered to a Tyrant. Governors MUST Act

Republican governors, are you paying attention? Who is going to pay for this executive amnesty? WE ARE.  Our already cash-strapped states and communities will be forced to foot the bill for benefits for millions of newly “legalized” illegal aliens. The progressive establishment leadership of the GOP in Washington DC is planning to do NOTHING to put a stop to this. I’m afraid that we can wait no longer for anyone in Washington DC to do the right thing. If you all band together, we can stop all of this mess with one proclamation. Red states, band together and SECEDE. The progressive states could do little or nothing to stop it, and could not survive without us. Once they realize they will die on the vine without us, we can reunite the republic on OUR terms. What other choices do we have left? All three branches of the federal government are off the constitutional reservation, and the military has been castrated and appears unwilling to honor their oath to protect and defend the Constitution. If the goal is the restoration of the republic, the rule of law, and the Constitution, then it would seem the only alternatives left are a chaotic and bloody civil war, or secession. Ted Cruz passes 19TH HOUR of epic filibuster against Obamacare

Senator Ted Cruz, who vowed to speak out against Obamacare on the Senate floor ‘until I am no longer able to stand’, has slogged his way into a second day and shows no sign of relenting after speaking for more than 19 hours.

Cruz, who began at 2.41pm on Tuesday, is continuing his crusade to deny funding for Obama’s overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system, branding it the country’s ‘biggest jobs killer’.

With no sign of stopping, Cruz has so far navigated disparate topics including the American revolution, sending a man to the moon, his Cuban-born father and the impact of the health care law.

And in more bizarre moments, he recited an edited version of Dr. Zeus’ ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ poem and compared the fight against Obamacare to the battle against the Nazis.

In surpassing the 18 hour and 23 minute mark this morning, Cruz and his allies notched up the fourth longest occupation of the floor since precise record-keeping began in 1900.

It also eclipsed March’s 12-hour, 52-minute speech by Sen. Rand Paul, who like Cruz is a tea party lawmaker and potential 2016 presidential contender.

Paul was demanding information on the Obama administration’s use of drones to monitor Americans.

Cruz is aiming to scuttle the Senate Democrats’ vote that would send a budget bill back to the house without a measure that would defund the president’s signature health care law.

Conservative Republicans have threatened to level an ultimatum at the president: Defund Obamacare, or risk a government shutdown and the GOP’s refusal to raise the federal government’s all-important debt ceiling.

But the mechanics of advancing the bill were overshadowed by Cruz’s filibuster, which included a reading of Dr. Seuss’ ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ to his daughters back home in Texas.

‘When Americans tried it, they discovered they did not like green eggs and ham and they did not like Obamacare either,’ he said. ‘They did not like Obamacare in a box, with a fox, in a house or with a mouse. It is not working.’

But his actions have provoked anger on both sides of the house as many of his GOP colleagues accuse him of poor strategy and enjoying political grandstanding at the expense of other Republicans.

A Pew Research Center poll published Monday shows that 39 percent of Americans would blame Republicans for a government shutdown, while 36 percent would blame Democrats.

Not wishing to go it entirely alone Sen. Cruz drafted in some help a few hours into the parliamentary stunt, yielding the floor to Sen. Paul, then to Sen. Marco Rubio, and again for a question from Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts.

Utah’s Mike Lee, Louisiana’s David Vitter and Alabama’s Jeff Sessions also asked questions, pausing the forward motion for minutes at a time while Cruz caught his breath.

The Texas Republican is trying to halt the implementation of President Obama’s national health insurance overhaul, and said he’s acting on behalf of ’26 million Texans and 300 million Americans’.

But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the chamber’s top Democrat, put down a marker earlier in the day with a promise that ‘there will be no filibuster today’.

While Cruz apparently didn’t get the memo, or more likely ignored it, it’s unlikely his filibuster-by-committee will change any results.

I contend that if you profess to believe in God, you must also embrace capitalism.

Lately, many religious shepherds are abandoning reason in favor of sentiment. Catholic nuns are joining Occupy Wall Street revelers, like zombies witnessing to rapturous fans. Meanwhile, Jewish activist and commentator Jake Goodman is hailing the Manhattan demonstration (which includes numerous blatantly anti-Semitic protesters) as a group of people “philanthropizing with their feet.”

Even within the same religion, emotional progressives are clashing with rational believers. Dominican Sister Pat Daly of New Jersey told Catholic News Service, “I’m thrilled to see this momentum as more and more people are taking to the streets.” Conversely, Father Robert Sirico of Michigan told CNS, “The ethos of this all is the rage against wealth for wealth’s sake. … You don’t alleviate poverty by redistributing wealth, you alleviate poverty by creating wealth.”

If you believe that God created the universe, then you must assume that he wanted man to live differently from animals.

Walking Off the Democrat Plantation

This is an outstanding piece by a young lady who has seen the truth about the democrat party lie that they have been able to convince most black Americans to believe. When a party who can be historically proven to have racially oppressed you, and can be seen to still be doing so with only slight examination, why do you trust them to be the party which has your best interest at heart? When a party has promised for generations to better your way of life, but can be proven to have done nothing more than oppress you further, again with only slight examination required, why do you think they are going to help you tomorrow?

Come on, America. Wake up. Think for yourself, open a few history books, and see which party is destroying America, American values, and the American way of life. There are some bad republicans to be sure, but as a party, the democrats have done more harm than good to Americans of every race, creed, color, and national origin.

Ok, here’s the story.  I was born and raised a Democrat.  As odd as “being born a Democrat” may sound, that statement is as true as it is tragic.  Both of my parents were, my aunts and uncles were, and every influential adult in my life proclaimed to be . . . a Democrat.  I hadn’t considered questioning why because politics didn’t interest me much.  I inherently knew that I was one, and when I became of voting age, the fundamental rule was that I must vote the party line all the way down the voting ticket.  Why Democrat, you may ask?  Because all black people, as far as I was told, voted Democrat.  And since I was black, that made me Democrat.  So when I turned 18 years of age, I registered to vote and voted as any good black American would. I followed the example of those around me and saddled that Democrat donkey every election Tuesday without understanding the issues, without learning the party platforms, and without a thorough assessment of the candidates.  Heck, I didn’t even care to know such things; I just wanted the Democrats to win the election against those “racist” Republicans that I had been taught were against black people.  I wanted the rich to pay their fair share like we, the poor and working class Americans, were.  I didn’t even mind a little redistribution of wealth when it came to someone else’s fortune, as long as mine was left alone.

MY CHRISTIAN ROOTS

Moreover, my Christian roots ran deeper than my Democratic ones.  I was raised in a strongly conservative Christian home, and even though for a time I had strayed, I eventually grew to know and love Christ on my own as an adult.  Christianity became no longer my parent’s religion, but MY faith, MY conviction, MY choice.  I eventually began to seek godliness in all areas of my life; work, home, recreation . . . in everything.  My Christian worldview even caused me to, for the first time, examine my politics.

Upon a closer examination of my party, I learned that most of the Democratic Party’s platform stood against many biblical moral standards.  Generally, they rejected the biblical definition of marriage and they overwhelmingly supported abortion.  I learned that more often than not, when I voted for a Democratic candidate, I was voting against my family values.   That troubled me greatly and I began to question my loyalty to the party; and after I began to make my way through college and learn a little about economics, I discovered that the Democratic Party’s economic policies were detrimental for not only black Americans, but for all Americans!

Ratings agency cuts long-term outlook from stable to negative for first time since Pearl Harbor attack 70 years ago

Shares fell heavily on Wall Street on Monday after a leading ratings agency fanned fears of Europe’s debt crisis spreading across the Atlantic by issuing a strong warning about America’s failure to tackle its budget deficit.

In a move seen by Wall Street as a “shot across the bows” of bickering politicians in Washington, Standard and Poor’s (S&P) said it was cutting the outlook on the US’s long-term rating from stable to negative for the first time since the attack on Pearl Harbor 70 years ago.

It’s Not About Race, It’s About Ideology

This is a guy that I would support for president.  If the choice were between Lieutenant Colonel Allen West and B. Hussein Obama, the hypocrisy of the left would be put on display for all to see.  The left would smear Allen West, blacks beholden to the democrats would call him an “Uncle Tom,” and they would all do ANYTHING to destroy him because HE IS A PATRIOTIC AMERICAN instead of someone preaching reliance on government.  But they wouldn’t be able to accuse “whitey” for being racist by not voting for Obama, because that variable would be removed.

Defeat a Liberal, Stop Obama-care, Support Scott Brown for MA Senate

In a historically liberal bastion, the state of Massachusetts (a.k.a. Tax-a-chusets) where the race should be a blowout in favor of the democrat, Army Lt Col Scott Brown is in a virtual dead heat with liberal democrat Martha Coakley.

Why do you suppose this is?  Could it be that the people of Massachusetts have already experienced Obama-care in the form of their state run system and have seen how much of a failure it is?  Could it be that Coakley has vowed to vote FOR Obama-care?  Could it be that Brown is a TRUE conservative campaigning on the values that made America great?  Yes, yes, and yes.

If you believe the U.S. constitution is correct, if you believe RIGHTS come from God and not from government, if you think our government has overstepped its bounds, if you believe that the democrat health care takeover is a bad idea, then join me in supporting EVERY conservative candidate you can in EVERY state with whatever resources you can spare.  Donate money, volunteer to make phone calls, hand out fliers, send e-mails, make blog posts, talk to your friends, family and co-workers.  Anything you can contribute will help stop the liberal takeover of America.

Scott Brown’s big day

Massachusetts GOP Senate candidate Scott Brown set out to raise $500,000 yesterday. In the event, Brown took in more than double his goal, racking up $1,303,302.50. Brown is going to need every penny and more to respond to Democratic opponent Coakley’s attack ad (now with Massachusetts spelled correctly!) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s $567,000 last-minute ad buy. Brown’s big fund-raising day led into his debate with Coakley and the conveniently named third-party candidate Joseph Kennedy. In the debate Brown got in the line of the night as the insufferable David Gergen sought to take him down.

Coakley’s best line was more a gaffe than a zinger. Coakley announced that it was time for the United States to pick up sticks in Afghanistan. No need to worry about any militant extremists: “They’re gone. They’re not there anymore.” (Ed Morrissey comments here.) Coakley also stood by her previously expressed support for the treatment of enemy combatants as criminal defendants.

Well, Coakley needed some help, and David Gergen did his best to supply it. John McCormack draws attention to Gergen’s work near the end of the debate. Gergen had two questions for Brown and Coakley each. After putting Brown on the spot over Roe v. Wade and “climate change,” Gergen lobbed a couple of softballs to Coakely. “Do you think it was right to insist on three people being at the debate?” Gergen asked Coakley. “As you look back on the campaign, do you have any second thoughts on how the campaign has unfolded?” What a chin-pulling hack (certified as “[o]ne of the nation’s most respected political thinkers” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune).

Politico reports that Coakley appears to hold a double digit lead in the race according to the most recent Democratic poll. This is consistent with Scott Rasmussen’s reading of the public polling in the race.

Please note, however, that although Rasmusen’s continues to see the same general dynamics at work in the race as in his earlier analysis, his latest take shows a sliver of daylight between Brown and Coakley. Those of us holding out hope that Brown will pull off an upset in this race can also look to William Jacobsen’s second and third reports from Brown HQ.
