Money for Nothing, Checks for “Free”

I’m sick and tired of people whining about NOT getting something they DIDN’T earn, and don’t deserve.  Continuing to give people what they WANT instead of what the EARN is a perverse incentive that is destructive to character, and to an economy.

If an employee is still getting a paycheck like nothing has changed, why should taxpayers be put on the hook to give them MORE money that they didn’t earn?  If the company is able to save the money they would be paying the employee, they will have that money in reserve to continue paying the employee for a longer period of time if the the stimulus checks stop.

Now, if the employee has been laid off because the company can’t afford to pay them, then getting the full measure of the stimulus check is a no brainer.

Texas Company Looking To Take Federal Stimulus Money To Employees Back From Their Paychecks

 

A company in Austin, Texas, is looking to dock the pay of workers who receive stimulus checks from the federal government, according to a new report.

“The form says they are preemptively deducting funds from our paychecks. That number is based on what they’re anticipating the government relief fund to be,” a worker for the company told KXAN. The worker asked not to be identified in this investigation so as not to impact his company’s ability to continue doing business,” KXAN reported.

The worker said his company emailed a form titled “Employee Acknowledgement of ‘Government Assistance’ Pay Reduction” to some staffers on Wednesday. “In response to the economic crisis that is affecting all of us due to the coronavirus pandemic…(company name redacted) are hereby enacting the Employee Emergency Compensation Fund,” the letter stated.

The agreement would put workers under a “temporary compensation reduction that is in line with the assistance that it receives from the federal government related to the COVID-19 pandemic.” By signing the agreement, the company’s employees would have their paychecks between April 6 and April 20 cut by 100% of any money received under the stimulus bill.

The company would also take half of the $500 stipend allotted for dependents under the bill.

The worker told the station that the company laid off 25% of its workforce this week. The worker also said he thinks the company was using the money saved in those salaries from former workers to meet payroll.

“The company that I work for is a national company and they make hundreds of millions of dollars in profit a year and instead of making sacrifices at the higher levels, they’re passing it on down to everybody else,” the worker said.

“I think that this violates at least one law that we know of out there,” Austin labor attorney Austin Kaplan told KXAN.

“What they’re trying to do here, it looks like, is take people down to zero for at least one pay period, and the law wouldn’t permit that,” Kaplan told KXAN. “It also just looks like a bad idea. I think employers have other options that they can do than something like this — I haven’t seen something like this before.”

In April of last year, Tara Reade accused Joe Biden of inappropriate behavior when she worked at his Senate office in 1993. Now, she’s accusing the Democratic presidential nominee of sexual assault, according to a graphic interview with podcaster Katie Halper.

When Reade initially came out about her experience with Biden, she told The Union that he did uncomfortable things like “put his hand on my shoulder and run his finger up my neck.” Reade also said that she cut ties with Biden’s office over an early 1993 staff argument. According to Reade, Biden wanted her to serve drinks because he liked her legs. Reade says she didn’t hear this directly from Biden but she learned of it during her argument with staff. Reade refused to serve the drinks, which she believes was a move that affected her career.

“My life was hell,” Reade said. “This was about power and control. I couldn’t get a job on the Hill.” She eventually left Biden’s office in August of 1993.

Now, Reade is speaking out even more with a sexual assault allegation against Biden. Katie Halper posted an excerpt from an interview done with Reade to Twitter around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, writing “This is a story that @ReadeAlexandra has been trying to tell since it happened in 1993. It’s a story about sexual assault, retaliation and silencing. #meToo.”

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Threatens Violence After Man Calls Him ‘Fredo’: ‘I’ll F*cking Throw You Down These Stairs’

The video, which surfaced Monday evening, shows the CNN anchor flipping out on an individual who referred to him as “Fredo” – a nickname popularized by Breitbart News’s John Nolte.

“No. Punk ass bitches on the right call me Fredo. My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN,” Cuomo said. “Fredo is from The Godfather. He was the weak brother.”

He continued, telling the man that “Fredo” is equivalent to the “N-word” to Italians.

The man reacted to Cuomo’s explosion, remarking, “You’re a much more reasonable guy in person than you seem to be on television.”

“If you want to play, then we’ll fucking play,” Cuomo shot back, hurling a series of insults at the man and referring to him as a “punk bitch.”

We No Longer Have the Luxury of Compassion

We could have been compassionate with SOME of the illegal immigrants… A LONG TIME AGO, IF congress had gotten off their collective @$$3$ and SECURED OUR BORDER. Illegals are bringing diseases to America that were once though eradicated, or have seldom if ever been seen here before. Illegals are KILLING AMERICAN CITIZENS. Democrats and RINO Republicans too spineless to stand up for the Constitution and rule of law, (i.e. to cowardly to honor THEIR OATH OF OFFICE) are legitimizing illegals by giving them identification, letting them vote, and now trying to let them fill GOVERNMENT JOBS.

You read that right. Illegals will work in OUR government, and be making regulations that carry the weight of law, thus having non-citizens ruling over Americans.

500 African Migrants Apprehended Since May 30 in Single Border Patrol Sector

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 500 migrants from the continent of Africa since May 30. The numbers jumped after large numbers of African migrants adopted a strategy of crossing in large numbers. On Wednesday, a group of 34 African migrants crossed the border illegally near Eagle Pass, Texas.

Eagle Pass Station agents apprehended a group of 34 illegal aliens from Africa on June 5, according to information provided to Breitbart Texas by Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials. On May 30, large numbers of African migrants who had been waiting in Mexico to cross at ports of entry changed their strategy and began crossing illegally in the largely-unsecured Del Rio Sector. The first group to cross included 117 African migrants, mostly from the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola, officials stated.

Longtime Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran Dead at 81

Don’t mean to piss on the grave of the dead, but we should not forget Thad Cochran’s legacy, which is that of an establishment RINO who ran into the arms of the democrats in order to defeat Chris McDaniel in 2014.  McDaniel actually beat Cochran in the primary, but it was a 3-way race, and McDaniel only won a plurality, not a majority, thus sending the race to a runoff.  In the runoff, establishment RINO Cochran, friend of the democrats, ran to said democrats for help.  Democrats and democrat-funded PACs ran numerous false ads against McDaniel, claiming among other things that he was affiliated with the KKK.  Cochran couldn’t win a straight race.  He had to cheat, and “collude” with democrats to steal the race from his conservative challenger.

Not much of a legacy.

Former Republican Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran died early Thursday morning in Oxford, Mississippi, at age 81.

Cochran was first elected to the Senate in 1978, making him the first Republican to win a statewide election in Mississippi in more than 100 years.

The Mississippi Republican also served in the House of Representatives for three terms before running for Senate, The Clarion-Ledger reported.

Cochran resigned from the Senate in April 2018.

A statement from the office of his successor, Republican Mississippi Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, said that Cochran “passed away peacefully” in Oxford early Thursday.

No, God Doesn’t Have a Political Party, But One Party In Particular Seems to be Devoid of Godliness

“Person of faith” and “LGBTQ community” are to very diametrically opposed things. Sorry to break the news to you.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I don’t believe Pete Buttigieg is actually a Christian. Oh, he may BELIEVE he is a Christian, just like so many in churches all across this nation and the world who are being taught a buffet-style of Christianity, and that there are many paths to Heaven. But you can’t pick and choose which parts of God’s Word you want, and ignore the rest. God is VERY clear that there is only ONE way to Heaven, to the Father, and that is through a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

How can I say that I don’t believe Buttigeig is a Christian? Isn’t that “passing judgement?” No, moron. It’s USING judgement. Only God Himself will PASS judgement on each of us. However, He instructs us to USE judgement, i.e. to be “fruit inspectors.” (Matthew 7:16)

In Matt 7:16, Jesus says “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?” There are certain fruits that a walk with Jesus produces. The most oft cited passage describing these fruits is Galatians chapter 5. Let’s start by looking at verses 16-26.

Galatians 5:16-26 (NASB) 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Here Paul tells us that if you’re still actively trying to satisfy the desires of the flesh, you are acting contrary to the Spirit. He also says that among the fruits of the flesh are “sexual immorality.” There are a number of verses that make it CLEAR that homosexuality, a form of sexual immorality in God’s eyes, i.e. bulls with bulls, and cows with cows, is a sin.

Leviticus 18:22 (NASB) 22 You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 (NASB) 13 If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

Romans 1:18-32 (NASB) 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Pay particular attention to verses 26-27, especially the word “unnatural.” Even if you take this discussion outside the Christian arena for a moment, it is still impossible to argue that homosexuality is NATURAL. If it were, humans would be capable of asexual reproduction. Barring that, if homosexuality were natural, the human race would have ceased to exist long ago. Think back to your grade school biology class.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NASB) 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Jude 1:5-8 (NASB) 5 Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. 8 Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.

Homosexuality is CLEARLY a sin, it is a fruit of the flesh and not the Spirit, and thus one could reasonably deduce (judge) that someone who leads a life OPENLY flaunting their disobedience of God’s laws is not a Christian.

Everybody likes to focus on the “love” part of Christianity, but wants to ignore the things that God CLEARLY calls sin and tells us not to do. Sorry, can’t do that. If you love Jesus, and walk with Him, you keep His commandments.

John 14:21 (NASB) 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

None of us are perfect.

Romans 3:23 (NASB) 23 for all [a]have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

But there’s a huge difference between making a mistake and repenting of it (turning around and going the other way), and CONSCIOUSLY living in a way that is contrary to what God commands. THAT is what Pete Buttigieg is doing, and THAT is why he makes me so sick when he and others of both his political and sexual persuasion pretend to lecture any of us on anything to do with Christianity.

(CNN)Pete Buttigieg opened up about his faith Monday night, expressing confidence that he will be able to unite many different groups of people because “God does not have a political party.”

During a CNN town hall in New Hampshire Monday, the South Bend, Indiana, mayor was asked how he planned to unite conservatives, moderates and liberal Christians.

“It can be challenging to be a person of faith who’s also part of the LGBTQ community and yet, to me, the core of faith is regard for one another,” Buttigieg said. “And part of God’s love is experienced, according to my faith tradition, is in the way that we support one another and, in particular, support the least among us.”

Eric Swalwell Accused of Sexism over Insulting Response to Dana Loesch

Swalwell, who has made gun control a major part of his campaign, told Loesch on Twitter, “I don’t aim down, so I don’t debate mouthpieces.”

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said he is stunned by Attorney General William Barr’s suggestion at a Wednesday hearing that the FBI is guilty of “spying” on then-presidential candidate’s Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Clapper, who has been a consistent critic of Trump, called Barr’s use of the word “spying” “a gross misstatement.” But the former national intelligence chief has a history of his own gross misstatements.

The former director of national intelligence was accused of lying to Congress in 2013 when he told Oregon Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden that the National Security Agency doesn’t collect data on Americans — which is not technically true.

RINO Meghan McCain Shoots Off Her Mouth About Trump and Republicans

Just like her treasonous father, Meghan McCain wouldn’t know what “character” was if it bit her in her quite sizable posterior.  She often claims to be a conservative, but I get the impression she is a bit confused about what that really means.  

Part of both having “character,” and being a conservative, is having the COURAGE to fight for what is RIGHT.  In recent years, Republicans can’t often be accused of having courage, as they have habitually caved in to democrats on just about everything.

Meghan, you may not like Donald Trump and his style.  That’s you’re right.  However, you can’t argue that under Donald Trump the Republicans are willing to do at least a little of something they haven’t done in a LONG time, which is stand up to democrats on key issues.  They still have a long way to go to return to being the conservative party they once were, but with Trump as the catalyst, they are at least headed in the “right,” and CORRECT direction.

Meghan McCain, known these days for being the powerhouse conservative voice on “The View,” explained Saturday why she no longer considers herself a Republican, though still being a strong conservative who votes on the Republican ticket.

What did McCain say?

Without the leadership of her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who tragically lost his battle with brain cancer last summer, McCain told CNN’s Van Jones that the character of the Republican Party — now led by President Donald Trump — “seems to be gone.”

“I call myself conservative. I mean, I’m still a member of the Republican Party and I still vote on the Republican ticket, but Republicanism is so tied up with being for Trump,” McCain said, adding that she’s not a “NeverTrumper,” and is doing her best to navigate today’s complex political landscape.

I hate to say it, but I saw this one coming.

When President Trump selected Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, I knew it was at least a very risky pick.

But he won the hearts of conservatives because of the insanity of the opposition.

Now we know, for certain, that Brett Kavanaugh is a fraud. He should never have been President Trump’s first choice. He’s a weakling. He buckled to the extreme left to salvage his own reputation. I had a bad feeling about this guy – ever since his role in the Vincent Foster cover-up and his tutelage by former independent counsel Kenneth Starr.

How many times do we have to see this kind of betrayal by Republican nominees of Supreme Court justices – Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, John Roberts?

I can not adequately express my disgust for Jeff Flake and those like him in the Republican party.  He exemplifies the term “RINO.”  Losing his seat to a democrat would have just been status quo.  With a democrat, you expect them to lie, cheat, steal, and undermine the Constitution.  When someone calls themselves a conservative Republican, you generally expect them to at least most of the time fight to uphold the Constitution and conservative principles.  Lying pieces of crap like Flake, Lisa Murkowski, Paul Ryan, and a host of others who are not actually conservatives, and are in fact Republican in name only, are in my opinion even lower forms of life than lying, cheating, stealing, anti-American democrats.  They lie even more than a typical politician to get elected, then they betray those who elected them.  There’s a special place in hell for people like that.

The Narcissist in Chief Just. Won’t. Go. Away.

Watching Barack Obama gallivanting all over the world patting himself on the back is just embarrassing. It would be one thing if he were right, but he demonstrably is not. He spent eight years dividing and destroying this nation, and for him to now stand up take credit for successes that are so blatantly and clearly a result of Obama’s policies BEING UNDONE, is sickening. Seeing him continue to cheapen and demean the office of the president as an ex-president just as he did for eight years as president is sickening, and infuriating. He needs to just go away. I’m surprised that the earth hasn’t simply repelled him into space.
