Key Obamacare Architect: We Had to Lie to Pass Obamacare

Keep in mind, Gruber isn’t just some random flunky off the streets.  He was one of the key architects responsible for writing the law.  IN HIS OWN WORDS he describes how those who crafted the law had to lie to the American people to get it passed.  It was written specifically in such a way that the CBO would not (at the time) score the things hidden in Obamacare as taxes, or it couldn’t have passed.  They had to hide the fact that healthy people would pay in for sick people to get more money.  He says “lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” or more accurately, ‘lying was the only way we could pass this.’  He calls the American people ‘stupid’.  And lastly, understand that Obamacare is a 100% DEMOCRAT LAW, passed without a single Republican vote, and passed despite a majority of Americans NOT wanting this law at the time, and a larger majority who oppose it now.

Remember the lies that the President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, told the American people over and over again trying to drum up support for this government takeover of our healthcare system.

“If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period.”

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period.”

“In an Obama Administration, we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year.”

“Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase.”

“I will protect Medicare.”

Conservatives who read the law before it was passed tried to warn everyone that these lies were just that.  Lies.  Now the pain of these lies is being felt by nearly everyone, and it is only getting worse as premiums and penalties are set to go up AGAIN in January.  Costs are skyrocketing as availability and quality of care deteriorate as more and more doctors either refuse to accept Obamacare, or are just leaving practice altogether, as we predicted they would.

There is only one course of action acceptable to recover from this disaster.  FULL REPEAL OF OBAMACARE.

IRS and the Small Business Owner

The IRS believed a business owner wasn’t paying proper wages to his help.

An agent was sent to the business to investigate the owner.

IRS AGENT: “I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them”.

Owner: “Well, there’s Clarence, my hired hand. He’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board. Then there’s the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, and pays his own room and board. I buy him a bottle of rum and a case of beer every Saturday night so he can cope with life. Also, he gets to sleep with my wife occasionally”.

IRS AGENT: “That’s the guy I want to talk to – the mentally challenged one”.

Owner: “That’ll be me. What’d you want to know?”

More Cities Consider Using Eminent Domain to Halt Foreclosures

The increasing use of eminent domain to benefit the GOVERNMENT rather than for “public use” as outlined in the 5th Amendment, is disturbing, and yet another sign that government has strayed completely off of the reservation established for government by the Constitution. The founding fathers were very clear that private property ownership was a cornerstone of our republic.

Suppose a nation, rich and poor, high and low, ten millions in number, all assembled together; not more than one or two millions will have lands, houses, or any personal property; if we take into the account the women and children, or even if we leave them out of the question, a great majority of every nation is wholly destitute of property, except a small quantity of clothes, and a few trifles of other movables. Would Mr. Nedham be responsible that, if all were to be decided by a vote of the majority, the eight or nine millions who have no property, would not think of usurping over the rights of the one or two millions who have? Property is surely a right of mankind as really as liberty. Perhaps, at first, prejudice, habit, shame or fear, principle or religion, would restrain the poor from attacking the rich, and the idle from usurping on the industrious; but the time would not be long before courage and enterprise would come, and pretexts be invented by degrees, to countenance the majority in dividing all the property among them, or at least, in sharing it equally with its present possessors. Debts would be abolished first; taxes laid heavy on the rich, and not at all on the others; and at last a downright equal division of every thing be demanded, and voted. What would be the consequence of this? The idle, the vicious, the intemperate, would rush into the utmost extravagance of debauchery, sell and spend all their share, and then demand a new division of those who purchased from them. The moment the idea is admitted into society, that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If “Thou shalt not covet,” and “Thou shalt not steal,” were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society, before it can be civilized or made free.
John Adams; The Founders’ Constitution; Volume 1, Chapter 16, Document 15

Government is instituted to protect property of every sort; as well that which lies in the various rights of individuals, as that which the term particularly expresses. This being the end of government, that alone is a just government, which impartially secures to every man, whatever is his own.
James Madison; The Founders’ Constitution; Volume 1, Chapter 16, Document 23

It would also be a breach of contract law, stepping in to violate the terms of a contract entered into legally and willingly between two parties, when neither party had breached the contract. If you think it’s hard to get a mortgage now, wait until you start cheating the banks out of what they are legally owed from the loans they have made.

Governments employing or exploring the use of eminent domain are severely stretching the meaning of “public use.” Some cities say they plan to take over the mortgages rather than the homes themselves, “saying that will prevent foreclosure, blight and falling property values. If the owners of the mortgages — mostly banks and investors — balk, the letters said, the city could use eminent domain to condemn and buy them.” In other instances, cities have “condemned” and declared eminent domain over private property in order to give it to OTHER PRIVATE PARTIES who will pay HIGHER TAXES. While the goal of preventing “foreclosure, blight and falling property values” sounds good, they are attempting to do so by violating the 5th Amendment, of which the applicable part says…

“nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

Confiscating private property to raise tax revenue does NOT constitute “public use.”

Ted Cruz passes 19TH HOUR of epic filibuster against Obamacare

By David Martosko, U.s. Political Editor and Francesca Infante

PUBLISHED: 18:38 EST, 24 September 2013 | UPDATED: 09:31 EST, 25 September 2013

Senator Ted Cruz, who vowed to speak out against Obamacare on the Senate floor ‘until I am no longer able to stand’, has slogged his way into a second day and shows no sign of relenting after speaking for more than 19 hours.

Cruz, who began at 2.41pm on Tuesday, is continuing his crusade to deny funding for Obama’s overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system, branding it the country’s ‘biggest jobs killer’.

With no sign of stopping, Cruz has so far navigated disparate topics including the American revolution, sending a man to the moon, his Cuban-born father and the impact of the health care law.

And in more bizarre moments, he recited an edited version of Dr. Zeus’ ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ poem and compared the fight against Obamacare to the battle against the Nazis.

In surpassing the 18 hour and 23 minute mark this morning, Cruz and his allies notched up the fourth longest occupation of the floor since precise record-keeping began in 1900.

It also eclipsed March’s 12-hour, 52-minute speech by Sen. Rand Paul, who like Cruz is a tea party lawmaker and potential 2016 presidential contender.

Paul was demanding information on the Obama administration’s use of drones to monitor Americans.

Cruz is aiming to scuttle the Senate Democrats’ vote that would send a budget bill back to the house without a measure that would defund the president’s signature health care law.

Conservative Republicans have threatened to level an ultimatum at the president: Defund Obamacare, or risk a government shutdown and the GOP’s refusal to raise the federal government’s all-important debt ceiling.

But the mechanics of advancing the bill were overshadowed by Cruz’s filibuster, which included a reading of Dr. Seuss’ ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ to his daughters back home in Texas.

‘When Americans tried it, they discovered they did not like green eggs and ham and they did not like Obamacare either,’ he said. ‘They did not like Obamacare in a box, with a fox, in a house or with a mouse. It is not working.’

But his actions have provoked anger on both sides of the house as many of his GOP colleagues accuse him of poor strategy and enjoying political grandstanding at the expense of other Republicans.

A Pew Research Center poll published Monday shows that 39 percent of Americans would blame Republicans for a government shutdown, while 36 percent would blame Democrats.

Not wishing to go it entirely alone Sen. Cruz drafted in some help a few hours into the parliamentary stunt, yielding the floor to Sen. Paul, then to Sen. Marco Rubio, and again for a question from Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts.

Utah’s Mike Lee, Louisiana’s David Vitter and Alabama’s Jeff Sessions also asked questions, pausing the forward motion for minutes at a time while Cruz caught his breath.

The Texas Republican is trying to halt the implementation of President Obama’s national health insurance overhaul, and said he’s acting on behalf of ’26 million Texans and 300 million Americans’.

But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the chamber’s top Democrat, put down a marker earlier in the day with a promise that ‘there will be no filibuster today’.

While Cruz apparently didn’t get the memo, or more likely ignored it, it’s unlikely his filibuster-by-committee will change any results.

CHIEF FILIBUSTER: TED’S TOP 10

1. ‘I will credit my father, he invented…green eggs and ham… he would put green food coloring in. Green Eggs and Ham was my favorite book as a little boy.’

2. On comparing fighting Obamacare to fighting the Nazis: ‘If you go to the 1940s, Nazi Germany. We saw in Britain, Neville Chamberlain, who told the British people, “Accept the Nazis. Yes, they’ll dominate the continent of Europe but that’s not our problem. Let’s appease them. Why? Because it can’t be done. We can’t possibly stand against them”.’

3. On comparing the costs of sending a man to the moon to the cost of defunding Obamacare: ‘The moon might be as intimidating as Obamacare’

4.’It is apparently very, very important to be invited to all the right cocktail parties in town. Now, I’ll confess: I don’t go to a whole lot of cocktail parties in town.’

5. ‘I like their little burgers…I’m a big fan of eating White Castle burgers.’

6. ‘You know, almost all of us are in cheap suits with bad haircuts. Who cares?’

7. ‘They want to make this about a battle of this senator versus that senator, this person versus that person. So it’s all personal. It’s like reading the Hollywood gossip pages.’

8. ‘I don’t know if it’s the water, something in the air, the cherry blossoms, but people get here and they stop listening to the American people.’

9. ‘We don’t work for the lobbyists with tasseled loafers who walk the halls, but the single mom working in the diner.’

10. ‘I guarantee all of the pundits that we see going on TV and intoning in deep baritone voices, “This can’t be done.” If this were back in the 18th century, they would be going on, I don’t know, maybe [with] pigeon carriers or something.’

How Thomas Jefferson Led America’s First “War On Terror”

The threat we face from Islam is not new.  It is a threat that is as evil today as it was when it was founded.  The only difference is that they have learned to battle us using our own system against us. If we can not name the threat, and acknowledge the threat for what it is, it will consume and destroy as.

How Thomas Jefferson Led America’s First “War On Terror”

Today, I hear a lot of cries for tolerance, especially of Islam. I’m told, “Stop the hating of Muslims.” Many of the very people I hear this from like to point to the Constitution and to the Founding Fathers and especially to the First Amendment and declare that Islam should be tolerated in America. However, I wonder if they have paid attention to either the Constitution or the Founding Fathers on this matter. Specifically, I wonder if they have even considered the words and actions of the third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, especially his sense of reading their own texts from the Qur’an and knowing just what his enemies thought. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?

Barbary Wars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM97XzQn9IQ&feature=player_embedded

First, keep in mind that Islam and terrorism have gone hand in hand since its inception at the beginning of the 7th century. In fact, it’s founder Muhammad was a terrorist and used “religion” to band his merry men together to conquer, rape and pillage. Continue reading

The following are ten new Obama taxes that, if they pass, will have a huge impact on you and will certainly hurt the already sluggish economy. Continue reading
