Billy Graham Called Home

Today, God called Billy Graham home.  He was a truly great man who had a huge impact on the world because he was obedient and let Christ work through him.  Pray for Franklin and his family as they deal with the loss of a truly great man, but remember that we didn’t actually lose Billy.  We know EXACTLY where he is, and if we accept the Gospel he spent his life sharing, we’ll get to meet him someday and praise God together.

Warning to all Politicians –WE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DISARM US

It is time to speak plainly for the good citizens and patriots of this nation who believe unbendingly in the Constitution of the United States of America. Though foreign governments may disarm their subjects, we will not go down that road. We will not disarm and see our freedoms stripped away. The lessons of history are numerous, clear, and bloody. A disarmed population inevitably becomes an enslaved population. A disarmed population is without power, reduced to childlike obedience to-and dependence upon –the organs of a parental state. A disarmed population will lose-either piecemeal or in one sweeping act –those basic rights for which the citizens of America gave their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor over 200 years ago.

We will not disarm. The right to self-protection, the internal directive of every living creature, be it mouse or man, is the most fundamental right of all. It is a right that must be exercised against the of the streets, against the predators hidden within agencies of law enforcement, and against the most dangerous predators of all –those to be found in government, whose insidious grasping for power is relentless and never-ending.

We will not disarm. Not in the face of robbers, rapists, and murderers who prey upon our families and friends; nor in the face of police and bureau agents who would turn a blind eye to the Constitution, who would betray the birthright of their countrymen; nor in the face of politicians of the lowest order-those who pander to the ignorant, the weak, the fearful, the naive; those indebted to a virulent strain of the rich who insulate themselves from the dangers imposed upon other Americans and then preach disarmament.

We will not surrender our handguns.

We will not surrender our hunting arms.

And we will not surrender our firearms of military pattern or military utility, nor their proper furnishings, nor the right to buy, to sell, or to manufacture such items.

Firearms of military utility, which serve well and nobly in times of social disturbance as tools of defense for the law-abiding, serve also in the quiet role of prevention, against both the criminal and the tyrannical. An armed citizenry, the well-regulated militia of the Second Amendment, properly armed with military firearms –is a powerful deterrent, on both conscious and subconscious levels, to those inclined toward governmental usurpation.

An armed citizenry stands as a constant reminder to those in power that, though they may violate our rights temporarily, they will not do so endlessly and without consequence.

Should Americans again be confronted with the necessity of, may God forbid it, throwing off the chains of a tyrannical and suffocating regime, firearms designed to answer the particular demands of warfare will provide the swiftest and most decisive this end. Any law which prohibits or limits a citizen’s possession of firearms of military utility or their proper furnishings, provides an open window through which a corrupt government will crawl to steal away the remainder of our firearms and our liberties.

Any law which prohibits or limits a citizen’s possession of firearms of military utility or their proper furnishings, being directly contrary to the letter and spirit of the Second Amendment, is inimical to the Constitution, to the United States of America, and to its citizens. Now-today-we are witnessing the perilous times foreseen by the architects of the Constitution. These are times when our government is demanding –in the guise of measures for the common good –the relinquishment of several rights guaranteed to Americans in the Constitution, foremost among which is the right to keep and bear arms for our own defense.

These are times when our government has abdicated its primary responsibility-to provide for the security of its citizens. Swift and sure punishment of outlaws is absent, and in its place is offered the false remedy of disarming the law-abiding. Where this unconstitutional action has been given the force of law, it has failed to provide relief and has produced greater social discord. This discord in turn now serves as the false basis for the demand that we give up other rights, and for the demand for more police, more agents of bureaucratic control to enforce the revocation of these rights. Legislators, justices and law officers must bear in mind that the foundation of their duties is to uphold the fundamental law of the land-the Constitution.

They must bear in mind that the unconstitutional act of disarming one’s fellow citizens will also disarm one’s parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, children and children’s children. They must bear in mind that there are good citizens who, taking heed of George Washington’s belief that arms are the liberty teeth of the people, will not passively allow these teeth to be torn out.

There are good citizens who, taking heed of Benjamin Franklin’s admonition that those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety, will surrender not one of their rights. Those who eat away at our right to own and use firearms are feeding on the roots of a plant over two centuries old, a plant whose blossom is the most free, most powerful nation ever to exist on the face of this planet. The right to keep and bear arms is the tap root of this plant. All other rights were won at the point of a gun and will endure only at the point of a gun. Could they speak, millions upon millions of this world’s dead souls would testify to this truth. Millions upon millions of the living can so testify today. Today is a critical moment in our history.

Will we Americans passively lie down before a government that has grown disdainful of its best citizens? Or will we again declare, “We are the government, government functions at our behest, and it may not rescind our sacred rights?” Will we place our faith in public servants who behave like our masters? Or will we place our faith in the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and remember the words and deeds of the daring, far-seeing men and women whose blood, sweat and tears brought forth this great nation?

Will we believe those who assure us that the police officer will shield us from the criminal? Or will we believe our eyes and ears, presented every day with news of our unarmed neighbors falling prey in their homes, on our streets, in our places of work and play?

Will we bow our heads to cowards and fools who will not learn and do not understand the lessons of human history? Or will we stand straight and assume the daily tasks and risks that liberty entails?

Will we ignore even the lessons of this present era-which has seen the cruel oppression of millions on the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America-and believe that the continent of North America is immune to such political disease? Or will we wisely accept the realities of this world, wisely listen to and make use of the precautions provided by our ancestors?

Will we be deceived by shameless liars who say that disarmament equals safety, helplessness equals strength, patriotism equals criminality? Or will we mark the words of our forefathers, who wrote in plain language: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed?

Let us make known: We will choose the latter option in every case.

Legislators: Do your duty to your country. Uphold the Constitution as you swore to do. Do not shame yourselves by knocking loose the mighty keystone of this great republic –the right to bear arms.

Justices: Do your duty to your country. Examine the origins of our right to weaponry and uphold the letter and spirit of the Constitution.

Lawmen: Do your duty to your country. Do not be misguided and misused. Your task is to serve and to protect-not to oppress, to disarm and to make helpless your countrymen. To the blind, the ignorant, the apathetic, the safe and sheltered, these may seem to be concerns of another age. They are not. They are as vital as they ever have been through history. For times may change but human nature does not. And it is to protect forever against the evil in human nature that the Founding Fathers set aside certain rights as inviolable.

For these reasons we must now make known: We will not passively take the path that leads to tyranny. We will not go down that road. We Will Not Disarm.

Liberals Launch Christian Witch Trials

Christians knew it was coming. It was only a matter of when. The direction of the attack was only slightly a surprise, as many thought the crusade against Christianity was going to me lead by muslims. They are complicit agents in the assault, but it is liberal/progressive “thinkers” who have placed themselves above God, and decreed themselves to be supreme beings.

I have news for these liberal/progressives. They should look at history of ALLLLL the times God has put people like you in their place. Remember the “great” liberal Voltaire, who thought that he was living in the “twilight of Christianity,” and that the Bible would disappear from the earth within 100 years? Kind of ironic that after Voltaire’s death his house was used to print, or at least store Bibles. Time and time again throughout history, those who mock God are proven to be nothing but deceived, and deceivers.

Liberals Launch Christian Witch Trials

By Peter Heck

Break out the pitchforks and light the torches!  The leftist media is in the midst of launching a modern day version of the Salem Witch Trials.  Except this time the target isn’t those who blaspheme against the Christian religion, but rather those who practice it.  The inquisition began almost two weeks ago when Diane Sawyer and her ABC World News Tonight team christened a very provocative and alarming “investigation” into the beliefs of Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann and her husband, Dr. Marcus Bachmann.

Water Boarding John Murtha: A Eulogy

As I stated in the eulogy for Ted “Hiccup” Kennedy, I hope that John found salvation before he died.  But just as with Ted, I kind of doubt it.

REAL Marines have a special place in God’s heart, so there probably aren’t any of them in Hell with John Murtha right now.  But, I’m sure there are plenty of tortured souls down there waiting for their turn to water board John.  Perhaps Murtha and Kennedy are sharing vodka martinis between their water boarding sessions.

What sounds do you think John will hear for eternity?  Will it be the sounds of the reports saying that ALL OF THE HADITHA MARINES WERE ACQUITED? Or will it be the voices of all REAL Marines disowning John Murtha?

For someone who once at least claimed to be an honorable person in the form of a United States Marine, the fall from grace was a long one.  His corruption has been documented over many decades.  One of the earlier was his involvement in the ABSCAM affair (Murtha – Abscam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwjkQTNPDAg).

Murtha was known as the “King of Pork” in Washington circles.  That’s no small feat.

Perhaps Murtha’s “finest” moment, and the one for which he is likely to be forever remembered, will be his desperate lunge for the microphone to seize the opportunity to attack George W. Bush by accusing Marines of atrocities without knowing any of the facts.

Murtha: Marines Shooting in Haditha ‘Worse Than Abu Ghraib’

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,197316,00.html

Of course, when the Haditha Marines were EXONERATED, Mr. Murtha seemed to develop an allergy to microphones and cameras.

Haditha prosecution goes 0-7 (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/06/the_marines_vs_haditha_smear_m.html)

John Murtha cuts and runs when asked about Haditha

Of course, the coward John Murtha should have apologized when he was proven 100% completely wrong for besmirching and defaming these Marines.  But sadly, he no longer has the chance to do it.

So, in a final farewell to John Murtha, I play for you some thoughts of another commentator on the internet on the passing of the Cowardly King of Pork.

Hell’s kind of warm this time of year.  Hope you brought plenty of sun screen, John.  RIP.

Comfort: Curse or Blessing?

Don’t misunderstand me, or Mr. Marinov.  We do indeed believe that God is in control.  However, if we as Christians stand back and do nothing while Christianity and, more importantly and to the point, Christ and God are attacked, what can we hope for? God doesn’t need my defense, but as Christians we either defend Him, or deny Him. If we sit back with our hands out and do nothing like the growing generations of ‘welfare babies’ our nation, and the socialist agenda are raising, can we hope for a better life while we await Christ’s return? (Before you speak up, no, being on welfare is not in and of itself bad.  Being on welfare when you have the ability to earn your own way, is bad.  In the Christian sense, it’s like a Christian who never gets past the initial salvation and never matures, always needing to be fed and led by others.)

Does Jesus instruct Christians to sit back idly and wait on Him to return?  I don’t think so.  Matt 16:24 says

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

That implies to me an active existence.  That implies visibly “carrying” the “burden” of Christ as part of our labor.

He tells us in 1Pet 5:8-9

1Pe 5:8-9 NASB  Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.  (9)  But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

That says to me that we are to be vigilant, and that we are to resist evil and hold firmly to our faith (a part of which is to share it boldly).  There will be suffering, but I expect that it’s worse to suffer while doing nothing for your faith than to suffer while actively serving.

But let’s not just look at the easy verses that seem to support my position.  There are some that when taken out of context and without study would seem to say that we should simply roll over and let evil doers have their way.  Let’s take this well known passage from Matthew.

Mat 5:38-48 NASB  “You have heard that it was said, ‘AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.’ (39)  “But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. (40)  “If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. (41)  “Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. (42)  “Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. (43)  “You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ (44)  “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (45)  so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (46)  “For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? (47)  “If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? (48)  “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

One commentary from biblegateway.com suggests that “… Jesus utilized hyperbole precisely to challenge his hearers, to force us to consider what we value.”  The commentator goes on to say “… we should be so unselfish and trust God so much that we leave our vindication with him.”  What I take away from this and other commentators, and my own reading is that we are to serve ACTIVELY, and share the Good News.  The retribution, or judgment for evil is ultimately not ours to give.

So, when laws are being written to take away our free speech, when we are being told we can’t talk about God, when things are being done that cause pain and hardship not only to us, but to our brothers, do we just sit by passively and say “God is in control?”  NO!  I agree with Mr. Marinov.

We are to speak the word and truth of God boldly, even at the risk of retribution.  We are to pray.  We are to seek out good, Godly men for offices of the land and work to get them elected.  We are to counter the world’s lies with God’s truth.  If we sit and do nothing, effectively denying God, then I believe we hasten his judgment.  We are lukewarm, and will be spit out of God’s mouth if we do not stand for and with Him.

Rev 3:15-16 NASB  ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. (16)  ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

So, do not allow yourself to be comforted when there is not comfort.  Do not allow yourself to become numb.  Stand up for what is right while you can still stand.

I Refuse to Be Comforted

by Bojidar Marinov, Feb 03, 2010

Come on.

Now.

I hear you’re feeling down.

I can ease your pain…

(Pink Floyd, “Comfortably Numb”)

I refuse to be comforted. I refuse to listen to sermons that assure me that “whatever happens, God is in control.” I refuse to read and listen to pastors, authors, and leaders that comfort me with God’s peace when everywhere around me I see God’s war.

When they banned prayer in schools, the Christians in this country were assured that in these “last days” that’s what was expected to happen. They were supposed to take comfort in the fact that Jesus was coming soon. He didn’t. And while Christians were learning to be comforted with this open attack against their faith, Roe v. Wade came. Again, words of comfort followed. Meanwhile, tens of millions of unborn children died in this government-sanctioned sacrifice of infants. Only a precious few brave men and women stood against it; the majority were comforted that “whatever happens, God is in control.”

The pulpits never gave a call for action.

Long before that the Federal government took over the control of our money supply. As a result, millions of fathers and mothers in this country saw their lifetime savings disappear in financial meltdowns where the value of their labor was offered in a massive burnt offering to the Mammon of the centralized state. Again, we were all comforted by our pastors and leaders that “God is in control,” and “He will provide for us.” Moral and industrious people worked more, made less, and the wicked kept devouring everything in a Keynesian orgy of debt and consumption. The pulpits again comforted but never gave a call for action.

They started cracking down on Christians by passing laws to silence Christianity: “Hate speech,” “separation of church and state” and all the other mantras. In a nation that was founded to proclaim the blessings of Christ, Christ was now pushed out of public life. Pastors and authors and theologians responded by . . . more comforting words. “See? He must be coming soon! 1968! No, 1988! 1989! 1996! Have comfort!”

No call for action.

Christian children were ridiculed and ostracized in schools and universities. Their faith was mocked by professors who knew nothing about their fields of study but knew everything about Marx’s Communist Manifesto. The churches started losing their young men and women by tens of thousands every year. Colleges and universities that were established to nourish and expand the Christian religion and knowledge were now openly enemies of Christ.

Again, the pulpits were silent. Except for a few comforting words. God surely must be in control.

We don’t even notice anymore when things like that happen. We are so comforted that we don’t even think of raising our voice in protest anymore. We surely value our peace and comfort—that’s what our leaders have taught us.

We have become comfortably numb.

But I refuse to be comforted. I refuse to believe in peace when I see God at war. I refuse to believe that God makes all these things happen only to teach me that He is in control and nothing else. I refuse to believe that these are blessings when I know very well they are curses. And I refuse to accept curses for comfort.

The Bible tells me that God teaches my hands to war. And my hands are itching for a fight. I don’t want to sit idly when the heathens are taking over God’s earth. I want to be out there defending it. I want my pastors and leaders to lead me, not comfort me. I want them to teach me to fight and overcome. There must be instructions for victory in the Bible. I mean, real victory, not abstract dreamy “victory” of being rescued in clouds. When we lose elections and a Communist, homosexual, or a Muslim gets elected, I want my pastor to tell me how we can elect a Biblically-qualified candidate next time. When they pass a law to ban preaching the truths of the Bible, I want my pastor to teach me how we can fight and repeal that law.

When they build an abortion clinic in my town, I want the pastors to lead their congregations in protest and teach them how to shut it down. When the liberal media attack my faith, I want my pastor to teach me how to reply and present Christ in such a way as to make them helplessly gnash their teeth in their inability to present a coherent answer. When my child is assaulted by Marxist professors in college, I want my pastor to equip me and my child with comprehensive Biblical worldview that brings down their vain imaginations.

Moses didn’t comfort the Hebrews in Egypt. He made them uncomfortable. He made them realize what they were missing: Liberty. He gave them a sense of urgency, not comfort: “Eat it with the shoes on your feet and with your staffs in your hands. No time for comfort!” He didn’t comfort them in the wilderness. He made them fight. No words of comfort came out of his mouth; no messages soothing their consciences. God is in control, he said in Deuteronomy 28, but that control isn’t necessarily good for you. It will be a curse on you and your children if you become comfortably numb. You better never become too comforted.

The Angel of the Lord didn’t comfort Gideon when he was threshing wheat. “What are you doing, mighty warrior? Hiding like a rat?” Elijah did not comfort his generation; he asked many uncomfortable questions: “Who are you going to serve, God or Baal?” The prophets did not deliver messages of comfort to Israel; they called Israel to war, to action, to repentance.

This great country, the United States of America, was not founded on sermons of comfort. The Pilgrims and the Puritans didn’t stay back in England and find comfort in the fact that “whatever happens, God is in control.” They took action. The political architect of the American Revolution, John Witherspoon, President of the College of New Jersey and signer of the Declaration of Independence, considered by most people of his time to be the “spiritual father” of the colonies, did not comfort his spiritual children; to the contrary, he worked tirelessly to instill a message of discomfort and urgency in them:

There is not a single instance in history, in which civil liberty was lost, and religious liberty preserved entire. If therefore we yield up our temporal property, we at the same time deliver the conscience into bondage.

Had he comforted them, the USA could have never been founded. And we wouldn’t have the freedoms we have today.

I want to have the same spirit as the Founders. And therefore I want my pastor to be like John Witherspoon. Don’t comfort me; teach me to fight and win.

Many pastors I have talked to complain of the growing influence of “para-church” organizations. No wonder. If churches give no message of victory, someone else will. And they will gain influence. People follow leaders, not drug-traffickers. And messages of comfort and peace in times of discomfort and war are nothing more than anesthetic, a narcotic to escape reality; and those who preach comfort and peace when there is no comfort and peace are spiritual drug-traffickers, not spiritual leaders.

Therefore I refuse to be comforted.

I don’t find comfort in the fact that God is in control. It makes me shiver. If we as Christians are silent, passive, compromising, His control will bring down judgment. His control will make pagans rule our land, ban preaching, take our children, destroy our property. Exactly what is happening now! I can’t find comfort in God’s judgment, and a pastor who preaches comfort in the face of God’s judgment is not doing God’s will. I refuse to be comforted. I want to be taught to turn the tide; I don’t want another dose of anesthetic.

I refuse to be comforted.

Barack Obama: Savior or Anti-Christ?

Believers knew this was coming.  The days of the false prophets and anti-Christ.

I’m not a professional Bible scholar, so I can’t speak definitively on the subject of “anti-Christs.”  What I’ve been able to find so far on the topic doesn’t seem to indicate that there will be ONE anti-Christ, but many.  They are also referred to as false prophets.  God warns us of their coming, their intent, and what happens to them and their followers.

2Ti 3:1-9 NASB But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.  (2)  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,  (3)  unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,  (4)  treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  (5)  holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.  (6)  For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,  (7)  always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  (8)  Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.  (9)  But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.

2Ti 3:13 NASB But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Tit 1:10-11 NASB For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,  (11)  who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain.

2Jn 1:7 NASB For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

1Jn 2:18 NASB Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

This brings us to the question at hand:  Barack Hussein Obama.  Savior and Christ, or anti-Christ and False Prophet?

How will we know who the savior is?  John 10:3-4 tells us that the followers of Christ will know His voice.

Joh 10:3-4 NASB “To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.  (4)  “When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.

I’ve been listening to Mr. Obama ever since he became a candidate for president, and I can tell you unequivocally that I do not “know his voice,” and I wouldn’t follow him anywhere.

John also describes what makes a good shepherd.  He is one who will lay down/sacrifice his life for his sheep.  There you have another disqualifying attribute of B-HO.  How many of his associates has he thrown under the bus for traction?

Next we look at deniers of Christ.

1Jn 2:22 NASB Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

1Jn 4:2-3 NASB By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;  (3)  and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

Barack’s statement that we are not a Christian nation, and his refusal to proclaim Christ as his savior literally scream “false prophet.”

Now, what would further identify B-HO as an anti-Christ?  Signs and false teachings seem to be the order of the day.

Rev 16:13-14 NASB And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs;  (14)  for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

Now, I can’t say I’ve seen any frogs come out of B-HO’s mouth, or that I’ve seen him perform any signs (unless getting into the White House without any documentation counts), but I’ve heard MANY things that I know to be blatant lies and un-truths come from the hole below his nose.  So, we have at least one of the two indicators of false prophet-ness present.

What happens next?  Well, when the REAL savior returns it won’t be pretty for those who refused or denied Him as savior.  Much less so for those who worked against Him to prevent people from accepting His grace.

Rev 20:10 NASB And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

I am not judging B-HO to be a/the anti-Christ.  I am merely pointing out what he is NOT.  The evidence does suggest that he could indeed be a false-prophet or an anti-Christ, but ultimately that is for God to decide and judge.

All this talk of fire and brimstone, lakes of fire, and torment aren’t very pleasant thoughts.  So to show you that God is not only just, but a merciful and loving God, I’ll leave you with this.  It is a warning to the non-believers and deceivers, and a message of hope for believers and those who don’t yet know but are seeking God.

Gal 6:7-9 NASB Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.  (8)  For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.  (9)  Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Hang in there.  It’s going to get worse before it gets better.  But if you plant yourself in God, and share the fruits of the gift He has given us, the reward He has stored up for us will be well worth the price we pay to get it.  Just remember, the price for the gift has already been paid.  All you have to do is accept it.

Pray for Obama.  Pray for his salvation.  If that isn’t going to happen, pray Psalm 109:8.

Newspaper: Obama is, of course, greater than Creator God

Newspaper deifies American president, dismisses Christ

This messianic image of Obama was highlighted by ABC's Jake Tapper

An editorial in a Danish newspaper, citing both foreign and domestic policies pursued by President Barack Obama, is deifying the American political leader.

“Obama is, of course, greater than Jesus – if we have to play that absurd Christmas game,” opined the unsigned editorial yesterday in Politiken, which boasts of being Denmark’s largest newspaper, in publication since 1884.

The English translation is provided online by Julian Isherwood.

It continued, “But it is probably more meaningful to insist that with today’s domestic triumph, that he has already assured himself a place in the history books – a space he has good chances of expanding considerably in coming years.”

The newspaper says Obama “is provocative in insisting on an outstretched hand, where others only see animosity.”

And while “his tangible results in the short time that he has been active – are few and far between,” his words “remain in the consciousness of their audience and have long-term effects.”

“He comes from humble beginnings and defends the weak and vulnerable, because he can identify himself with their conditions,” the newspaper said. (he who has made millions of dollars at the expense of the people he purports to serve “identifies with their conditions?” You’re kidding, right?) “And no we are not thinking of Jesus Christ, whose birthday has just been celebrated – but rather the President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama.”

The editorial noted that “the idea was naturally that the comparison between Jesus and Obama” would be made. “If such a comparison were to be made, it would, of course, inevitably be to Obama’s advantage.”

The editorial, written on the occasion of a legislative vote in favor of Obama’s plan for a health care takeover by the government, cited “the right of every American not to be financially shipwrecked when their health fails” as well as the “biggest ever financial support package in America’s history, a major disarmament agreement and the quickest-ever re-establishment of American reputation.”  (What a crock.  Socialists in America, and the socialists in Europe hold the European governments up as the model that we should follow.  Do they understand that the only way they can afford their own socialist spending is that they don’t have to pay for their own defense?  When we can no longer afford to protect them because of our social spending, what will become of them?)

“On the other hand, we have Jesus’ miracles that everyone still remembers, but which only benefitted a few. At the same time, we have the wonderful parables about his life and deeds that we know from the New Testament, but which have been interpreted so differently over the past 2000 years that it is impossible to give an unequivocal result of his work,” the newspaper said.  (It was only the creator of the world paying the price for YOUR sins before you were even born.  To bad you can’t see the results of that.  There’s still time…)

“Well we all knew that this day would come,” wrote Jeremy Wiggins on the American Family Association blogs.

“We knew that someone on the left side of the political spectrum would ultimately try to compare Barack Obama to Jesus,” he wrote.

“What I want to know is this: How is any comparison made between a person who has done NOTHING and someone who has done EVERYTHING? President Obama has bowed before kings, but Jesus will have kings bowing before Him, because HE is THE King of Kings. I guess the closest comparison I could come up with would be comparing Obama to Jesus is like comparing an ant to a skyscraper, not only is one VASTLY greater than the other, but they are not even in the same category to compare!” he wrote.

WND has reported on the multiple references and suggestions of Obama’s diety, including when British recording artist Sting said President Obama could be the answer to the world’s problems – the divine answer.

“In many ways, he’s sent from God, because the world’s a mess,” he said in interview with the Associated Press as the time.

Earlier, it was an associate editor at a college newspaper who wrote, “Obama is my Jesus.”

Maggie Mertens, the associate editor at the campus paper at Massachusetts’ Smith College, said, “Obama is my homeboy. And I’m not saying that because he’s black – I’m saying that in reference to those Urban Outfitters T-shirts from a couple years ago that said, ‘Jesus is my homeboy.’ Yes, I just said it. Obama is my Jesus.” (Poor, deceived person.  I can introduce you to the REAL Jesus…)

Her confession came in the Smithsophian’s commentary section recently under the headline: “I Will Follow Him: Obama As My Personal Jesus.”

“While you may be overtly religious and find this to be idol-worshipping, or may be overtly politically correct and just know that everything in that sentence could be found offensive, I’m afraid it’s true anyway,” she wrote.  (Blasphemy: an act of cursing or reviling God; irreverent behavior toward anything held sacred, priceless, etc.)

Also, an artist who planned to unveil a portrait of Obama in a Christ-like pose with a crown of thorns upon his brow canceled the event due to “overwhelming public outrage.”  (As it should be.  Why should Christians sit back and let our faith be defiled while all other faiths are handled with kid-gloves?  That includes atheism, because it is a religion as well.)

And it was Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan who declared last year that when Obama talks, “the Messiah is absolutely speaking.”

There also was the development during Obama’s campaign when a website called “Is Barack Obama the Messiah?” captured the wave of euphoria that followed the Democratic senator’s remarkable rise.

The site was topped by an Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7, 2008, speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire Primary in which he told students, “A light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote” for Obama.

The site includes this:

OBAMA BE THY NAME
THY CHANGE WILL COME
THY WILL BE DONE …

Merry Christmas!

I apologize for the belated wishes, but the great mid-west blizzard of 2009 got in the way.

I am thankful for the birth of Christ, for family and friends, and good health during this Christmas and holiday season.

Here’s wishing you and yours a (belated) Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!

The Spreading Cancer of Radical Islam

This facts in this video are alarming to anyone who wishes to preserve our freedoms and way of life.  This is no accident.  I believe the radical muslim jihadists are merely distracting us with our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.  They are using our own systems of government and our own decadence against us to devour us like a cancer.  Unless we wake up to the threat and treat it like it must be treated to stop it, we are a generation away from the end of America.  That only takes into account unchecked growth of muslim populations in our country.  With Obama and others doing their level best to give our country over to those who wish to destroy us, our demise will likely come sooner than that.  Think about it.  In 20 years everything that was America will be gone.  The constitution will be a historic document that will be banned.  Professing the Christian faith will likely get you killed.  Yet even the Christians in this country don’t have the guts to stand up and do anything about their own destruction.  Because of the cancer of liberal thought, we have become a self-centered nation that views having children as an inconvenience, a hindrance from hedonism.  We are seeing the last death throws of traditional, conservative values as America squirms under the oppression of Obama and the liberals.  Even that resistance is feeble.

Will you do anything to resist your own destruction?  I will do everything legally within my means, and when that fails they will pry my guns from my cold, dead hands.  My earthly freedom will be taken from me at death, whenever that comes.  And even then I will have only gone on to freedom in heaven.  What will you do to protect your freedom?  Where will you go when it’s all over?

Whose Country Is It?

The sickening displays of immorality taking place at our universities, even being called “Gomorrah festivals” in some cases, just show what a sinful, hedonistic nation we have become. When will Christians get the word from God to find the last few Godly people and leave before he destroys the country? That’s the path we seem to be on. As Mr. Buchanan says, we saved the country from the Godless hoards of communism at one point, but to what end? Godless is Godless no matter which way you slice it. And none of those slices are good.

Rendering Unto Caesar

At the request of the White House, Georgetown University covered up all the symbols in Gaston Hall, before the Great Man spoke, including IHS, the millennia-old monogram for the name of Jesus Christ.

Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, had adopted the monogram in his seal and it became an emblem of the Jesuit order.

When it comes to rendering unto Caesar, Georgetown is not going to be outshone by Notre Dame, which stole a march by offering the nation’s avatar of abortion a doctorate of laws degree, honoris causa.

Actually, it is regrettable the IHS in Gaston Hall was not covered up in shame the first week of Lent. For that week Georgetown’s feminist and homosexual clubs, such as GU Pride, put on a Gomorrah festival about alternative lifestyles called “Sex Positive Week.”

Monday, according to The Newman Club, featured a speaker for Black Rose, which “provides a forum for many different expressions of power in love and play. This can include dominance & submission, bondage and discipline, fetishism, cross-dressing, to name a few.”

Ash Wednesday’s talk was “Torn About Porn,” advertised as a “discussion about arguably alternative forms of pornography that are not supposed to be exploitative, but rather radical and empowering.”

Saturday’s talk was by a pornographic film director and was titled “Relationships Beyond Monogamy.”

At Loyola of Chicago that week, the Student Diversity and Cultural Affairs Office presented “Brother to Brother,” a film the Newman Society reports, about “a homosexual African-American who is transported in time to cavort with the allegedly homosexual Langston Hughes.”

The movie is said to be part of “a semester-long ‘Color of Queer Film Series,’ sponsored by the university.”

At Catholic Seattle University, that first week of Lent was “Transgender Awareness Week,” featuring a “session on allegedly transgender Bible heroes and heroines and ‘Criss-Cross Day’ where students are encouraged to ‘come dressed for the day in your best gender-bending outfit.”

This is surely anecdotal evidence to confirm Newsweek in the conclusion reached in its cover story of Holy Week, “The End of Christian America.”

Indeed, not only are many once-Catholic colleges and universities now wandering in what Pope Benedict XVI calls a “desert of godlessness,” Catholic belief and practice are not remotely what they were before Vatican II. Where three-fourth of Catholics attended mass weekly in the 1950s, today it is one-fourth. A third of all Catholics raised in the Faith have fallen away.

One in ten American adults is a lapsed Catholic. Catholicism’s quarter of the population is maintained only by mass immigration and, secondarily, by conversions.

Self-identified Christians in the United States have fallen from 86 percent of the population in 1990 to 76 percent today. Those who say they have no religion have doubled as a share of the nation from 8 to 16 percent. Where 69 percent of Americans said we are a Christian country in 1990, only 62 percent say that today.

America is being systematically de-Christianized and secularized.

For the social, moral and cultural revolution of the 1960s, rooted in non- and anti-Christian beliefs and values, has captured the culture, and converted many of the young. Among Americans 18 to 29, a fourth profess to be atheist, agnostic, or of no religious faith.

The figure is surely higher among the college young.

Second reason for the triumph of secularism is that it long ago captured the Supreme Court. Since the Everson decision of 1947, justices have expunged Christianity and all its books and symbols from the public square and public schools.

Voluntary prayer, the Ten Commandments, Bible reading, Christmas plays and carols, Nativity scenes, Easter vacation, before-game prayers, benedictions at graduations — all have been ordered terminated by unelected judges — against the will of the majority.

Abortion on demand, too, was imposed by judicial fiat.

Thus, as America ceases to be a Christian country, it is ceasing to be a democratic one.

Consider. In every referendum in 16 states, where homosexual marriage has been on the ballot, majorities ranging from 52 to 86 percent have voted to outlaw it as an absurdity and an abomination.

Yet, in Massachusetts, California and Iowa, unelected judges have imposed it, as they will in other states, regardless of what the people want or how the people vote. For secularism has become the established religion of the American state and judges are the high priests of the new order.

Yet, one wonders if they know what lies at the end of the road upon which they have set the nation.

For five decades, Americans resisted Godless Communism. If they come to realize they did so to save Godless Capitalism, or Godless Socialism, what happens to loyalty and love of country?

To love one’s country, said Edmund Burke, one’s country ought to be lovely. If this is not God’s country anymore, whose country is it?
