China Virus Exposing the Theft of Our Liberty

Guard your liberty jealously, for it is being stolen from you at an alarming and ACCELERATING rate.  We are told all the time how the government that works for us CAN’T enforce the laws, CAN’T live by the Constitution, and that we MUST give away our country to anyone who wants to come here.  If you’re paying attention, you realize that they don’t enforce the laws on the illegals, but YOU must abide by each and every single law.  There are no carveouts or sanctuaries for you, the citizen.

We are likely going to come out of this Wuhan China virus episode a less free nation.  We are going to be far more in debt, which we, the citizens, are on the hook to pay for.  Many of our liberties will be gone or substantially eroded by a power hungry government.

We have already ceded more of our liberty than we can afford, and are quickly approaching a point where the ballot box isn’t capable of restoring them.

We No Longer Have the Luxury of Compassion

We could have been compassionate with SOME of the illegal immigrants… A LONG TIME AGO, IF congress had gotten off their collective @$$3$ and SECURED OUR BORDER. But now we no longer have the luxury of compassion. There are more than THIRTY MILLION illegal aliens in America already, and OVER A MILLION have entered in just the first five months of THIS year. Illegals are soaking up taxpayer funded benefits paid for and intended for CITIZENS. Illegals are taking jobs that Americans could fill, likely at higher wages, and are driving down wages in the unskilled/low-skilled segments of the labor market. Illegals are bringing diseases to America that were once though eradicated, or have seldom if ever been seen here before. Illegals are KILLING AMERICAN CITIZENS. Democrats and RINO Republicans too spineless to stand up for the Constitution and rule of law, (i.e. to cowardly to honor THEIR OATH OF OFFICE) are legitimizing illegals by giving them identification, letting them vote, and now trying to let them fill GOVERNMENT JOBS.

You read that right. Illegals will work in OUR government, and be making regulations that carry the weight of law, thus having non-citizens ruling over Americans.

This must end NOW. Even if we must take up arms to make it stop. Our government has overstepped its bounds and shirked its Constitutional duty for far too long. It’s time to set things straight.

500 African Migrants Apprehended Since May 30 in Single Border Patrol Sector

6 Jun 2019

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 500 migrants from the continent of Africa since May 30. The numbers jumped after large numbers of African migrants adopted a strategy of crossing in large numbers. On Wednesday, a group of 34 African migrants crossed the border illegally near Eagle Pass, Texas.

Eagle Pass Station agents apprehended a group of 34 illegal aliens from Africa on June 5, according to information provided to Breitbart Texas by Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials. On May 30, large numbers of African migrants who had been waiting in Mexico to cross at ports of entry changed their strategy and began crossing illegally in the largely-unsecured Del Rio Sector. The first group to cross included 117 African migrants, mostly from the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola, officials stated.

Migrant groups march to U.S. consulate in Tijuana demanding reparations

“Two groups of Central American migrants made separate marches on the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana Tuesday, demanding that they be processed through the asylum system more quickly and in greater numbers, that deportations be halted and that President Trump either let them into the country or pay them $50,000 each to go home.”

Link to article:  https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/border-baja-california/sd-me-migrant-demands-12122018-story.html

Let me consider that for a sec…  NO.

You as a non-citizen illegal alien have NO rights in America, nor do we have ANY obligation to give you ANYTHING.  You have not right to enter the country, you have not right to be in our country, you have not right to make demands of our country, and you have no right to receive the fruits or our taxpayers’ labor.  The ONLY right you have is to return to your home, at your own expense.

If you cross our border illegally, the only thing you should receive from American taxpayers is a 50¢ lead injection at around 2,800 feet per second.

Why We MUST Build the Border Wall

Here are two articles that illustrate very clearly two of the main reasons why we MUST control our borders, and in this case build a physical barrier whether that be a wall, fences that can’t be climbed or cut through easily, minefields, snipers and machine guns, whatever it takes.

We’ve known this for a long time, but the facts (as generous as they might be) solidly bear this out.  Immigrants, and ESPECIALLY illegal immigrants who SHOULD be denied ANY assistance, are receiving welfare, healthcare, education, and other benefits, all at taxpayer expense.  The CONSERVATIVE, GENEROUS estimates are that this is costing taxpayers around $125 BILLION a year, for about 11 million illegals.  They have been saying “11 million illegals” for nearly two decades now, so we all know it’s probably AT LEAST double that number, and that it’s likely costing us far more than $125 billion each year to keep them here.

Back when we applied at least SOME sanity to our immigration system, we screened immigrants to admit only those who would benefit and be a net positive to our society. LEGAL immigrants were told that if they couldn’t make their own way, there would be on welfare, and ILLEGAL immigrants simply weren’t tolerated.  Now the idiotic or evil open border crowd wants a welfare state with open borders.  The two simply can’t coexist.

We can’t feed and house all of our own citizens, to include our veterans whom we asked to sacrifice their bodies and lives on our behalf.  So, how in the name of all that is good and Holy are we importing the poverty classes of every nation in this hemisphere, and many nations around the world, before taking care of our own?

Hear this loud and clear.  I don’t care if it’s hungry children and abused mothers banging on the door of our border wall.  If I have only one dollar to give, I will give it to a veteran in need before giving it to the citizen of another country, and our government should do the same.  As long as there is one of our CITIZENS in need, we MUST NOT import any others who will become wards of the state, as the vast majority of immigrants are now allowed to do.  We do not owe these invaders anything.  They have no right to come here, or stay here.  We have no obligation to give them a single penny of taxpayer money.  The obligation our government has to OUR citizens is to protect us from this invasion.  End of story.

Democrats, leftists, communists, socialists, and RINOs (repetitive, I know), hear this.  You are acting as enemies of America, and you are betraying the oath you swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.  YOU work for US.  Not the other way around.  We are growing weary of your constant betrayal.  Get in line with the Constitution, or resign before we come and throw you out.  That day isn’t too far in the future.

Census confirms: 63 percent of ‘non-citizens’ on welfare, 4.6 million households

Plague of Locust: Crisis on US/Mexico Border

SCREW MEXICO!!!  The Mexicans on the border are all of a sudden upset about the migrants flooding THEIR cities, taxing THEIR social services, and littering THEIR communities.  Notice that the Mexicans NEVER complained about migrants, whether they were Mexicans, Central Americans, or otherwise, as long as they were allowed to flood across OUR border.  But now that the flood is backing up into their own country, all of a sudden it’s a “problem.”  Mexico, if you had stopped this migrant flood at YOUR southern border, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Mexico exported most of its poverty class to America for us to take care of, and now they are aiding Central and South America in emptying their barrios and slums into America.  MEXICO IS A BAD NEIGHBOR.  PERIOD.  END OF STORY.  We should treat them as such.

There’s a reason that many idioms we use today have survived so long.  The one that “Good fences make good neighbors” is a GREAT example of one that is VERY true.

BUILD THE WALL.

TIJUANA, Mexico (Reuters) – Unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable migrants risk falling victim to crime in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, where thousands of Central Americans from caravans may be stuck for months as authorities tighten up asylum rules, advocates say.

Some 4,600 migrants from the bedraggled caravans whose advance has angered U.S. President Donald Trump are camped out with blankets and little food in an overcrowded stadium in Tijuana, whose mayor has declared a “humanitarian crisis.”

Protecting the Country Means Protecting the Border

Here is an oldie, but a goody from 2009. This shows you once again that illegal immigration is NOT a new issue for the American citizens. We have spoken time and time again to the isolated, insulated elites of Washington DC on this issue only to be ignored repeatedly. Bush, Obama, and many before them all ignored this problem. Now we’re not just speaking. We’re shouting, and if the elitist politicians don’t listen, we’ll stop shouting and start acting. When that point comes, and it’s not far away, those in power may want to look for a new country to live in, and make hasty arrangements to get there.
+

Keep you eyes on both hands in this government slight of hand trick. Bush tried to deflect attention away from the border, and the Obama administration is no different. The government is like Kevin Bacon in the parade scene of Animal House. They are saying “Remain calm. All is well…” just before being trampled to death by the stampede from the south. With the many attacks on your freedom being perpetrated by Obama, the congress, and senate, this is all a lot to keep up with. That’s what the liberals are counting on. They want you to feel overwhelmed and alone so you will just give up. DON’T DO IT! We may still have one last opportunity to fix this.

Protecting the Country Means Protecting the Border

Posted By Bobby Eberle On March 11, 2009 at 6:49 am

During the previous administration, few issues drew the wrath of the American people as illegal immigration and border security did. Funds were allocated for more border security agents, but those funds went unused. Legislation was put forward to reward illegal immigration. The American people spoke out and sent a message.

Now, there is a new administration, and nothing has changed. The violence along the Mexican border is increasing, and it is spilling over into our country. Action must be taken now. One of the fundamental roles of the federal government is to keep the country safe, so rather than spending trillions on stimulus or billions on studying cows and crickets, how about some real protection?

According to an Associated Press story running on GOPUSA — Lawmakers challenge border security priorities — “Since 2008, about 7,000 people have been killed in the Mexican drug wars, and violence is spilling into U.S. cities in some parts of the country. There have been reports of drug cartel members settling scores with adversaries in such places as Atlanta, Phoenix and Birmingham, Ala.”

Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA) said the problem with Mexico is “a lot more important, in my own judgment, than Afghanistan at this moment.” As the AP reports, “Lewis and other lawmakers Tuesday hammered the need for U.S. agencies to do a better job of working together to secure the border and keep the drug cartels from spilling their violence into the U.S.”

There always seems to be a breakdown between Washington and common sense. Cracking down on illegal immigration and ramping up border security has so many benefits that it seems almost silly to list them. But, for the benefit of the Washington elite, I’ll do so, and I’ll use small words.

First, it is THE LAW. Illegal immigration and illegal border crossings are ILLEGAL. Enforce the bleepin’ laws that are already on the books. We don’t need studies or commissions or reports or legislation. We just need people with the political will to enforce the current laws. If Mexican drug lords are crossing into sovereign America territory in the commission of crimes, arrest them! Don’t just turn a blind eye.

Second, it’s the economy, stupid. America is sending billions of dollars back across the border every year. If this money were to stay in this country to be used to purchase goods and services inside America, that would certainly be a “stimulus.” Stop allowing cash to flow out. Give American jobs to Americans.

Third, security starts at home. The Mexican violence is affecting Americans. People living near the border are fearful. Drug gangs are crossing the border, illegal alien suppliers are crossing the border, and America is doing a poor job in cracking down on these activities.

The federal government must take this problem seriously, and it must do it intelligently.

Just as the U.S. agencies need to do a better job coordinating resources, Lewis said, lawmakers need to work together and not in separate committees. Two committees held separate hearings on Mexico and border violence Tuesday. Two other committees have plans for more hearings on these issues later this week.

We can’t waste time duplicating efforts in multiple committees. Congress must get its act together. It has no problem passing bills loaded with earmarks, but it can’t seem to protect its own borders.

Bush 41 and 43 Finally Admit They Are Big-Government, Democrat-Lite, RINOs

If I wasn’t officially done with the Bush clan, I am now. 41, I appreciate your military service, but my respect for you stops there. You became a big-government apparatchik and sold out conservatives. Read my lips, remember? 43, I appreciated your support for the military, but disagreed with you on nearly everything else. Were it not for Barack Obama, you would be the biggest spending president in American history. You did nothing to secure the border, and the size of government did nothing but grow under your tenure.  Remember your parting shot of abandoning conservative principles to “save” conservative principles?  What a joke.  A very bad joke. You say you are worried that you will be the “last Republican.” That is laughable. You and your father were Republican in name only, and being a Republican is supposed to be associated with being a CONSERVATIVE, which neither of you are. You are showing your true colors by siding with democrats. Donald Trump is far from perfect, but he is acting more like a conservative than either of you EVER did.

George H.W. Bush Admits He Voted for Hillary, Calls Trump ‘Blowhard’

Former President George H.W. Bush has a low opinion of President Donald Trump, according to Mark K. Updegrove’s new book, “The Last Republicans.”

Bush, 93, admitted, “I don’t like (Trump),” and criticized the president for being driven by his ego and encouraging public anger.

“I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard. And I’m not too excited about him being a leader,” Bush said, according to Fox News.

He also revealed that he voted for Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential elections.

Updegrove was director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum and is now the chief executive and founder of the  National Medal of Honor Museum.

Through these two positions, Updegrove spoke frequently with both Bush and his son, former President George W. Bush, and convinced them to allow him to interview them for his book.

The New York Times‘ review of the book revealed that the younger Bush also had concerns about Trump.

The title of the book was inspired by a statement George W. Bush reportedly made to its author: “I’m worried that I will be the last Republican president.”

The younger Bush also confided his feelings about why his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, did not win the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

“If you’re angry with the powers that be,” he said, “you’re angry with the so-called establishment, and there’s nothing more established than having a father and brother that have been president.”

Reportedly, the younger Bush didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 either, submitting instead a ballot for “none of the above.”

The book’s release comes only a few weeks after a speech by the younger Bush that, while not mentioning Trump by name, was seen by many as a rebuke to the current president’s term so far.

The book says that Trump has moved away from long-time Republican policies that both former presidents worked to see through, including free trade, support for immigration and the United States’ presence on the world stage.

Updegrove elaborated on this in an interview, claiming Trump also appealed to “xenophobia.”

“But if you look at (George W. Bush’s) values and those shared by his father and Ronald Reagan, they are very much in contrast to the values of the Republican Party today,” Updegrove said.

“In particular the platform that Donald Trump ran on, which is essentially protectionism and a certain xenophobia.”

Can We Build A Wall?

Can we build a wall on our southern border?

• The US-Mexico border is approximately 1,900 miles, or 10,032,000 ft long
• Trump said he would build a wall 30 feet deep (in the ground?), and 30 feet high, and I’ll assume 10 feet thick
• Every 10 foot long section of that wall (assuming solid construction) would require approximately 222.22 cubic yards of concrete
• 1,900 miles of such a wall would require 222,931,104 cubic yards of concrete
• Last time I priced concrete in my local area, it was $110/cubic yard
• At that price it would take $24,522,421,440 (about $24.5 billion) plus labor, etc to build the wall
• In 2010, it was estimated that illegal immigration costs taxpayers $113 billion dollars
• We have several million more illegal aliens now than in 2010, and they are receiving far more in benefits.

So, for LESS THAN HALF OF ONE YEAR’S WORTH of what we are spending on illegal aliens, we could build a heavily fortified wall, and then man it with guards and guns.

BLM Claims 90,000 Acres Does Not Belong To Texas, Attempts To Seize Ranch

Here comes ANOTHER government land grab. The guy has held the deed to the land, and BEEN PAYING TAXES ON IT, for years. Yet they suddenly decide that the land belongs to the government. Not no, but HELL NO. Texans and Oklahomans need to unite, as well as ALL freedom loving Americans who value state’s rights and property rights, to stand and REPEL, by force if necessary, any government forces who attempt to take this land.

Obama’s World-Apology Tour Finally Bears Fruit

Listen carefully to Mexican president Calderon’s responses to Blitzer’s questions. Then remember that he had the unmitigated gall to stand in front of our government and our nation and criticize one of our states and its citizens for doing EXACTLY what Mexico does in their country.

Then remember, and help others to remember to November and beyond, that the entire democrat party stood and gave this man a standing ovation when he did it.

It is Obama’s world apology tour that has weakened America in the eyes of every other nation on earth to the point they feel they can come to America and criticize us within the halls of our own government while much of our government and our president look on. Obama will not criticize anyone who criticizes America.

What pisses me off further is the total NON-RESPONSE from Boehner (does that rhyme with boner, as in bone-head?) and the republican party.  They should have stood en masse and walked out on Mr. Calderon.  They should have immediately gathered on the capitol steps in front of the news cameras and made it clear to the American people that this sort of thing can not and will not be tolerated.

These socialist progressives are intentionally trying to destroy America with their globalist agenda, and they MUST BE STOPPED.

Democrats Give Standing Ovation to Bashing Americans on our Own Soil

Some say that Barack Obama has been “repairing” our image around the world. If by “repairing” you mean he has made us appear so weak that leaders of foreign countries feel free to come onto our shores, stand in the hall of our government, and criticize our country and government while over half our our government and the president applaud them, then perhaps he has “repaired” our image.

If that’s true, we were better off with a “broken” image.

This is illustrative of the progressive, globalist agenda.

Every border state republican running this year needs to use this video in his or her campaign adds.

John McCain Makes Me Puke!

McCain, you sicken me.  It wasn’t too long ago that you were partnering with Lindsey Graham(nesty) on an amnesty bill.  You are a political windsock.  Now that the true conservatives in this country are awakening, you seem to have “found religion” and started acting like a real conservative.  That’s the problem.  It’s just an act.

You should change your campaign slogan to:
“You can count on John McCain.  He’ll always be there when he needs us.”

J.D. Hayworth gets my vote.  (http://www.jdforsenate.com/)

Hunter: Deport Children of Illegals

This one isn’t complicated.  It is a liberal misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment that is being used to justify allowing “anchor babies.”  This amendment was meant to make citizenship and all its benefits available to slaves who had been BROUGHT HERE AGAINST THEIR WILL.  It does not apply when you break our laws to come into this country, and then squat and drop a baby.  The 14th was designed to ensure that all former slaves were granted automatic United States citizenship, and that they would have all the rights and privileges as any other citizen.

Deport Children of Illegals: Hunter

By R. STICKNEY
Updated 11:46 AM PDT, Wed, Apr 28, 2010

NBCWashington

Representative Duncan Hunter wants to deport the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants.

Hunter, who spoke at a tea party gathering in Ramona Saturday, said he does not believe children born to illegal immigrant parents should get automatic U.S. citizenship.

In a video posted Saturday on YouTube, Hunter appears to be taking questions from the crowd when he is asked if he would support the deportation of children born to illegal immigrants.

“I would have to,” he said.

“It’s a complex issue and it’s&hellip you can look and say, ‘You’re a mean guy, that’s a mean thing to do, that’s not a humanitarian thing to do.’ We simply cannot afford what we’re doing right now,” he said. “California’s going under.”

“We’re not being mean,” he told the crowd. “We’re just saying it takes more than just walking across the border to become an American citizen.”

Our media partner the North County Times confirmed the statements when a reporter spoke with Hunter Tuesday.

The congressman, whose district includes parts of Poway and Ramona in North County, told the paper that it makes sense that if the parents of illegal immigrant children are deported, that their children go with them. Hunter said he also supports a bill, House Resolution 1868, that would eliminate automatic citizenship for those children.

During the clip, Hunter is also heard supporting the controversial new legislation in Arizona calling it “a fantastic starting point.”

“This is a National Security issue,” he told the crowd. “It’s not complicated.”

Who are the REAL Racists and Discriminators in the US/Mexico Immigration Battle?

Here’s a hint:  It starts with a capital M, ends with an O, and has an X somewhere in the middle.

People who oppose what Arizona was forced to do, or who support amnesty and say we are discriminating against Latinos and/or Mexicans are so full of crap that it’s oozing from their pores.  Let’s look a few very pertinent bits of the Mexican constitution to compare it with the “unfairness” and “mistreatment” of illegal aliens in America.  Salient points are highlighted in GREEN.

Only Mexicans by birth or naturalization and Mexican companies have the right to acquire ownership of lands, waters, and their appurtenances, or to obtain concessions for the exploitation of mines or of waters.

Article 30. Mexican nationality is acquired by birth or by naturalization:

1. Mexicans by birth are:

1. Those born in the territory of the Republic, regardless of the nationality of their parents:

2. Those born in a foreign country of Mexican parents; of a Mexican father and a foreign mother; or of a Mexican mother and an unknown father;

3. Those born on Mexican vessels or airships, either war or merchant vessels.

2. Mexicans by naturalization are:

1. Foreigners who obtain letters of naturalization from the Secretariat of Foreign Relations;

2. A foreign woman who marries a Mexican man and has or establishes her domicile within the national territory.

Article 31. The obligations of Mexicans are:

1. To see that their children or wards, under fifteen years of age, attend public or private schools to obtain primary, elementary and military education during the time prescribed by the Law on Public Education in each State.

2. To be present on the days and hours designated by the Ayuntamiento of the place in which they reside, to receive civic and military instruction which will equip them for the exercise of their rights as citizens, give them skill in the handling of arms, and acquaint them with military discipline. (Sounds like a “well regulated militia” to me.  Could also be seen in a totalitarian light.)

3. To enlist and serve in the National Guard, according to the respective organic law, to secure and defend the independence, the territory, the honor, the rights and interests of the homeland, as well as domestic tranquility and order.  (Can you say “DRAFT?”  Oh, but wait.  No IMMIGRANTS can serve in their military.)

4. To contribute to the public expenditures of the Federation, and the State and Municipality in which they reside, in the proportional and equitable manner provided by law.  (Novel idea.  Mexicans must pay taxes.  It doesn’t say where to get the money for your taxes.  Maybe that’s why so many of them come here.  What the government deems to be “proportional and equitable” is something they can’t achieve in Mexico because their economy is a trash heap, and their own government discriminates against them.  So they come to America, where they are allowed to suckle the breast of “free” handouts while undercutting American workers for jobs, and sending most of the money on which they paid no taxes back to Mexico.  Money from Mexican immigrants is the biggest source of revenue to the Mexican government.  It even outstrips their oil sells. It is not the responsibility of the American taxpayer to subsidize the failed government of Mexico.)

Article 32. (14)Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable. In time of peace no foreigner can serve in the Army nor in the police or public security forces.  (The Taco Mafia in congress seems to think that this applies to Mexicans in the United States as well. This should be the rule that we apply for American citizens.  Americans FIRST, especially since we are the ones paying the freaking taxes!)

In order to belong to the National Navy or the Air Force, and to discharge any office or commission, it is required to be a Mexican by birth. This same status is indispensable for captains, pilots, masters, engineers, mechanics, and in general, for all personnel of the crew of any vessel or airship protected by the Mexican merchant flag or insignia It is also necessary to be Mexican by birth to discharge the position of captain of the port and all services of pratique and airport commandant, as well as all functions of customs agent in the Republic. (There is one and only one job in the U.S. that requires the holder of said job to be a natural born citizen.  Can you guess what that job is?  It is a job currently held by someone who has not, will not, and probably CAN NOT prove he is a natural born U.S. citizen.  If we applied this rule as the Mexicans do, we would have to discharge a third or more of our military.  Can you see the Mexican constitution and still say that America is UNFAIR to immigrants?  If you try, you’re a fool.  After all, we elected one president IN SPITE of our constitution.)

Article 33. Foreigners are those who do not possess the qualifications set forth in Article 30. They are entitled to the guarantees granted by Chapter I, Title I, of the present Constitution; but the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action.  (As our commander-in-grief is so fond of saying, “Let me be clear.”  In simple terms, this means they can round you up and kick you out of Mexico with no warning, no legal recourse, no reason given.  Even when we arrest illegal immigrants in this country, they are seldom deported.  They are usually released on their own recognizance and told to come back for an immigration hearing if they feel like showing up.  Hey La Raza, the Congressional Taco Mafia, and all the other whiners out there.  How would you feel if America played by Mexico’s rule on this one?  Show me where the Arizona law is ANYTHING like this.  You can’t, because it’s not.)

Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.  (But in America the illegal immigrants, criminals by definition of their even being here, are allowed to gather by the thousands and DEMAND that American taxpayers pay for their education, health care, housing, and other freebies.  They DEMAND that we “legalize” them.  Every time they have one of these rallies, the border patrol should be surrounding them with a parade of buses ready to take them back to the border.  How dare you stand in my country, wave your Mexican flag, burn my flag, and make demands of me when you shouldn’t even be here.  Go home.)

Article 34. Men and women who, having the status of Mexicans, likewise meet the following requirements are citizens of the Republic:

1. Having reached eighteen years of age, if married, or twenty-one years of age if unmarried;

2. Having an honest means of livelihood.

That last one is where the Mexicans actually get it right.  To be a CITIZEN, i.e. to VOTE and receive the privileges of citizenship, you must have a job.  That means you PAY TAXES.  Today we have 50% of the country paying no taxes, but having the ability to tell the other half to pay more, and telling them how those taxes must be spent.  ABSURD!!!

So, all of you who say we are treating illegal aliens UNFAIRLY need to shut the gaping maw under your nose because you have no idea what you’re talking about.  Just try walking across the Mexican border and demanding that the Mexican government give you welfare, free health care, a free education, and a host of other benefits that illegal alien criminals get here.  If you weren’t jailed, shot, or deported it would be a miracle.  Of course they would laugh at you first.

National Guard to the Border?

This is a good start, but if you remember the last time the National Guard was put on the border they weren’t allowed to carry weapons or apprehend illegal aliens.  They provided little real benefit in securing the border.

Will it be any different this time?  Are we pulling the tiger’s teeth again?  Are they sending a defenseless National Guard to the border to score political points, or will they actually be allowed to DEFEND THEIR STATE AND OUR NATION?

Richardson sends Guard to the border

LAS CRUCES — In the wake of a weekend murder of a southeastern Arizona rancher, Gov. Bill Richardson announced Wednesday he’s sending the National Guard to the international border.

The airmen and soldiers will be stationed along the entire southern border of the state, said Lt. Col. Jamison Herrera, public affairs officer for the Army and Air National Guard in New Mexico.

Herrera said they’ll augment U.S. Border Patrol operations, likely by observing the border, as the National Guard has done in the past. He declined to say how many personnel will be stationed or for how long they’ll stay.

“Too much information up front puts our service members in harm’s way,” he said.

Saturday, Robert Krentz, 58, was shot and killed as he worked on his remote ranch, west of the New Mexico border. No one has been arrested, but the trail of a suspect led authorities to the Mexican border.

The state’s Bootheel region and adjacent southeastern Arizona area has seen a spike in recent months in immigrant-related crime, including vandalisms and home break-ins. Some residents have said it was only a matter of time before a tragedy like that of last weekend occurred.

Harold Kuenstler, county commissioner in Hidalgo County, which covers the Bootheel, was the agent in charge of the Border Patrol’s Lordsburg patrol station until he retired in 1997. He said the recent announcement is a good step in the short-term.

“When the National Guard has gone to the Bootheel, there was a decrease” in trafficking activity, he said. “They have a high presence and visibility, and entries slowed down.”

The National Guard has been called in before to help federal officers. A federal effort, called Operation Jump Start, placed guardsmen along the border in 2007 and 2008 to help watch for illegal immigrant activity and build the border fence. The aim was to augment Border Patrol operations until that agency’s numbers could be built up.

Herrera said the Air and Army National Guard in New Mexico consists of about 4,000 people.

“The National Guard stands ready to help secure our borders and ensure the safety of our residents,” he said.

In addition to the guardsmen, Richardson announced Tuesday that state police, Border Patrol, sheriff’s department personnel numbers would increase along the border.

John Wheeler, secretary of the state Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, declined to quantify how much additional state police manpower will be assigned to the area.

“It is significant across the board,” he said, noting it will “ebb and flow.”

Wheeler said the state also plans to coordinate activities among all levels of law enforcement in the Bootheel area.

A public meeting was slated for Wednesday night in the tiny town of Apache, Ariz., about a dozen miles from Rodeo, N.M., — both communities that have seen a spike in illegal activity. Field representatives of congressmen, the Border Patrol and local law enforcement were expected to attend.

Though the guardsmen are a plus, Kuenstler said long-term measures will be needed. He noted that Border Patrol agent numbers have risen sharply since he retired, and said that personnel increase must continue. But he said he also believes the agency should shift how it monitors for undocumented immigrant traffic. Now, he said he believes agents work too far away from the international border.

“If you wait for them to come 30 miles up, how many ranches have they come through?” he said. “If you’re stationed 10 miles from the border, what about that rancher that has a ranch within 10 miles?”
