Trying to Put a Pretty Face On an Ugly Party

While I am still not so sure that striking Syria at this time was such a good idea, I am sure that the democrat response, and specifically the response of Tulsi Gabbard who seems to represent the views of most democrats on this issue, is one of outright hypocrisy.  Despite her relatively attractive external appearance, she is just as dark and intellectually bankrupt on the inside as the rest of the democrat party.

Perhaps you remember one Barack Hussein Obama committing US forces to combat in Libya to support rebels seeking to overthrow the government of Libya.  There was no legitimate US interest in overthrowing Muammar Gaddafi, who had kept to himself since nearly being killed by Ronald Reagan in Operation El Dorado Canyon, and in fact had actually been cooperating with us by providing intelligence on terrorist organizations and activities.  Yet Barack Obama sided with the rebels seeking to overthrow Gaddafi, violating the War Powers Act by not receiving approval from congress within the required time, or at all.  In doing so, Obama fanned the flames of what came to be known as the “Arab Spring,” which ultimately destabilized the ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST, and created what became ISIS.

In Gabbard’s revised history, did she or the democrats say the American people should have been concerned when Barack Obama launched an illegal and unconstitutional military strike against a foreign government?  No.  No, they did not.  In fact, she completely left out Obama’s and the democrats involvement in destabilizing the middle east, and waging a war to overthrow Bashar Assad, who was of no threat to America.

There are a number of reasons why striking Syria right now may not have been the best idea.  There is the possibility Russia may have been responsible for the chemical weapon strike instead of Syria.  If the Syrians performed the strike, why did they have chemical weapons at all, since Obama supposedly arranged for Russia to take all of Syria’s chemical weapons in a brokered deal following Obama’s multiple “red lines” which he never enforced.  Shouldn’t Russia have to answer these questions?  Then there is the possibility that we could have accidentally hit the Russians in Syria, leading to war between us and Russia, which we are not prepared for.

So many reasons NOT to strike Syria.  But we did strike them, and in doing so have ONCE AGAIN exposed the intellectual dishonesty of the democrat party, and the liberal left in America.

Rep. Gabbard: Syria missile strike ‘illegal and unconstitutional’

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Friday that the American missile strike on a Syrian airfield as “an illegal and unconstitutional military strike” that drew the United States closer to military conflict with Russia.

Gabbard, an Iraq War veteran, also said the strike was “an escalation of a counterproductive regime change war in Syria that our country’s been waging for years, first through the CIA covertly, and now overtly.”

What matters is evidence and facts.

“If the Trump administration has the evidence, unequivocally proving this, then share it with the American people,” Gabbard continued. “Share it with Congress. Come to Congress and make your case before launching an unauthorized, illegal military strike against a foreign government.

“Gabbard also said that efforts to overthrow Assad would only strengthen extremist groups, and expressed concerns about Moscow’s response to the missile strikes.

“Russia … are very closely allied with Syria and … have their own military operating [on] the ground there,” the congresswoman said, “and when you consider the consequences of that, the United States and Russia being the two nuclear powers in the world, it should be a cause of great concern for everyone.”

It’s hard to comprehend all this guy has gotten away with. Any other president would have been impeached during the first year of their presidency for what this tyrant has done! For what Obama has done in 5 years, ANY other president would have been arrested, tried for treason, and HUNG. What in God’s name is wrong with our government that they allow this guy carte blanch to break the law, rewrite and create laws without congress, and ignore and attack the Constitution? It absolutely boggles the mind!

What spawned such an evil man?  How about a communist-muslim loving mother who was into posing for pornographic pictures, a communist-muslim father (whether you believe the father is BO, Sr., or Frank Marshall Davis, the father was at least communist), communist grandparents, terrorist and communist friends and mentors?

Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro must be removed from office.  If congress will not act, then we must.  If congress will not act, then we must remove them as well.  We have seen to much of our nation destroyed, and too many of our freedoms lost to allow this to continue.

Constitutional experts call Obama’s abuse of power historic

“He did not call for legal action against the president of the sort that some legislators took when Obama took military action in Libya without consulting Congress, but let Obama’s record speak for itself as examples of presidential overreach that should not become future presidential habit.”

ANY OTHER PRESIDENT, if they had done the exact same things Obama has done, would have been in the very least impeached long before now, and by this point would likely have been forcibly removed from office and jailed. By comparison, Clinton was impeached for getting a blowjob in the Oval Office and lying about it. Compared to what Obama has done, that’s like executing someone for mispronouncing your name. Don’t get me wrong, Clinton deserved it. But Obama deserves to be removed from office EXPONENTIALLY more so than Clinton.

And yet even the spineless republicans do ABSOLUTELY. NOTHING to address the blatant and far-reaching oversteps of constitutional authority.

As president, Barack Obama has made a habit of bypassing or ignoring constitutional limitations on his power, a panel of experts told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

Obama’s claiming of executive privilege during the Fast and Furious debacle has already faded from the headlines, and it may be hard to remember the weight of the outrage expressed at the beginning of the year, when Obama made a handful of unilateral “recess” appointments, opting to bypass a Senate that wasn’t actually in recess.

But these incidents and a number of others were strung together at the hearing as proof of a dangerous trend in the administration.

“The administration has repeatedly put its partisan agenda above the rule of law,” committee chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) said. “In doing so, it has eroded the constitutional and legal foundation that have kept America prosperous and free for over 200 years.”

Obama’s Friends Storm Embassies in Libya and Egypt

In violation of the War Powers Act, Barack Obama supported the muslim brotherhood terrorists who took over Libya and Egypt using US taxpayer money and our military. Now that those sharia terrorists are in power, they are storming our embassies, slaughtering Christians and killing anyone who opposes them. Now we are seeing a repeat of the Iranian takeover following their revolution with the revolutionaries storming our embassies. Obama STILL lying – AFRICOM: AF, Navy still flying Libya missions

Obama is STILL lying, and is STILL in violation of the War Powers Act. Whether or not the act is unconstitutional is not for Obama to decide under our system of LAW. Every president since the act’s passage has thought it unconstitutional, but has obeyed the law. However, Obama the imperial president, as in so many other cases has simply decided the law doesn’t apply to him.

The congress had an opportunity to make itself relevant again and defund the operation, but as usual they caved leaving Obama unchecked and free to do whatever he wishes.

I’m beginning to think it’s time for an impeachment, and several recalls of elected officials.

Air Force and Navy aircraft are still flying hundreds of strike missions over Libya despite the Obama administration’s claim that American forces are playing only a limited support role in the NATO operation.

House Rebukes Obama on Libya, Stops Short of Funding Cutoff

I don’t claim to be any smarter than the next guy, but it didn’t take a genius to predict this one. I predicted this outcome on a FB post about the original non-binding resolution.

A positive vote on the NON-BINDING resolution, but let’s see how many “were against it before they were before it” this afternoon when they vote on the binding law. Let’s just say I would be surprised if they actually make Obama pull out of Libya.

Mike Pence of Indiana had this to say about voting NOT to defund our involvement in the Libyan conflict:

“Once American military personnel are engaged in hostilities, this Congress has an obligation to stand by our troops and do everything in our power to make sure our soldiers have the resources they need to get the job done and come home safe,” said Pence.

Mr. Pence, on this issue, you are an idiot. Apparently all the imperial president has to do is send troops to any place in the world he desires and pick a fight. Then, according to your logic, you MUST fund the operation.

Let me ask you Mr. Pence, and all republicans who voted NOT to defund this operation, is it “standing by our troops” to allow them to be sent into battle in a place where we have no business or national interest, and then spend billions of dollars while getting who knows how many of our soldiers killed? When you say “do everything in our power to make sure our soldiers have the resources they need to get the job done and come home safe,” isn’t it kind of stupid to send them to do a job that they shouldn’t be doing, where many of them most assuredly WON’T “come home safe?”

With support like yours, I think I’d rather go it alone.

Take note of all the RINO’s who did the Kerry-esque flip-flop, they-were-against-it-before-they-were-for-it move.

I’d be willing to bet these are US spec ops. Funny how we went from “there will be no US force on the ground,” and “We’ll be out of Libya in weeks rather than months,” to and open ended commitment in violation of the war powers act with US troops in harms way, and billions of dollars being spent on… something. Armed westerners have been filmed on the front line with rebels near Misrata in the first apparent confirmation that foreign special forces are playing an active role in the Libyan conflict.

A group of six westerners are clearly visible in a report by al-Jazeera from Dafniya, described as the westernmost point of the rebel lines west of the town of Misrata. Five of them were armed and wearing sand-coloured clothes, peaked caps, and cotton Arab scarves.

The sixth, apparently the most senior of the group, was carrying no visible weapon and wore a pink, short-sleeve shirt. He may be an intelligence officer. The group is seen talking to rebels and then quickly leaving on being spotted by the television crew.
