Send the GOP to Egypt

It’s time to abandon the GOP and encourage the few real conservatives left to join us in forming a new party.  The establishment GOP is nothing more than democrat-lite, and a rubber stamp for the democrat agenda.  The GOP has repeatedly compromised not just on issues, but has compromised the PRINCIPLES upon which the party was founded.  The only thing the “party” represents now is winning elections, which they are NOT doing because they are trying to out democrat the democrats, and even failing at that.

Can you name ONE thing which the GOP would fall on its sword over? <crickets>  Me either.  But what about the democrat party?  Abortion?  Welfare/social spending?  Gun control/confiscation?  Everything the democrats stand for is anti-American, but at least you know where they stand and what they stand for.

Now the GOP establishment is rubber stamping Obama’s arming of the muslim brotherhood terrorists.  This is absolutely unforgivable.  Rand Paul put forth an amendment to stop this madness, but a long list of GOP senators voted to table the amendment (i.e. they voted to let the transfer of arms to the terrorists continue).  We already know the democrats are anti-American, and now we know which republicans stand with them.

GOP voted to arm muslim brotherhood

Senate Republicans Arm the Brotherhood

Nearly two-thirds of them voted to give weapons to the Egyptian muslim brotherhood terrorist government.

The F-16 — headed to the Muslim Brotherhood

I’m done grumbling about how President Obama is empowering America’s enemies. After all, it is not just Obama. When it comes to abetting the Muslim Brotherhood, Republicans are right there with him.

Not all of them, of course. This week, for example, Senator Rand Paul proposed an amendment that would have prohibited our government from transferring F-16 aircraft and Abrams tanks to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood–dominated government. This lunatic plan is not just an Obama initiative. It is also a GOP brainstorm — of a piece with 2011’s Libya debacle, in which Republican leaders cheered as Obama, upon consulting with the Arab League, ignored Congress and levied war on behalf of the very jihadists who, quite predictably, have since raided Qaddafi’s arsenal, besieged northern Africa, and massacred Americans in Benghazi.

House Rebukes Obama on Libya, Stops Short of Funding Cutoff

I don’t claim to be any smarter than the next guy, but it didn’t take a genius to predict this one. I predicted this outcome on a FB post about the original non-binding resolution.

A positive vote on the NON-BINDING resolution, but let’s see how many “were against it before they were before it” this afternoon when they vote on the binding law. Let’s just say I would be surprised if they actually make Obama pull out of Libya.

Mike Pence of Indiana had this to say about voting NOT to defund our involvement in the Libyan conflict:

“Once American military personnel are engaged in hostilities, this Congress has an obligation to stand by our troops and do everything in our power to make sure our soldiers have the resources they need to get the job done and come home safe,” said Pence.

Mr. Pence, on this issue, you are an idiot. Apparently all the imperial president has to do is send troops to any place in the world he desires and pick a fight. Then, according to your logic, you MUST fund the operation.

Let me ask you Mr. Pence, and all republicans who voted NOT to defund this operation, is it “standing by our troops” to allow them to be sent into battle in a place where we have no business or national interest, and then spend billions of dollars while getting who knows how many of our soldiers killed? When you say “do everything in our power to make sure our soldiers have the resources they need to get the job done and come home safe,” isn’t it kind of stupid to send them to do a job that they shouldn’t be doing, where many of them most assuredly WON’T “come home safe?”

With support like yours, I think I’d rather go it alone.

Take note of all the RINO’s who did the Kerry-esque flip-flop, they-were-against-it-before-they-were-for-it move.

81 Republicans flip-flopped their votes from the previous resolution.  Here are all 89 Republicans who voted against defunding the Libya operation: Continue reading

Flip-flop hypocrisy and an absence of leadership from our incompetent Dear Leader, and the left who worships him.

MARCH 19, 2011
OBAMA: ‘Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world’…

MARCH 19, 2003
BUSH: ‘American and coalition forces are… in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger’…

MARCH 18, 2011
OBAMA: “Obama closed Friday’s remarks by saying, “I’ve taken this decision with the confidence that action is necessary, and that we will not be acting alone. Our goal is focused. Our cause is just. And our coalition is strong.”

2001, Before beginning operations in Afghanistan
BUSH: “To all the men and women in our military … I say this: Your mission is defined. Your objectives are clear. Your goal is just.”

MARCH 18, 2011
OBAMA: “The United States did not seek this outcome. Our decisions have been driven by Qaddafi’s refusal to respect the rights of his people and the potential for mass murder of innocent civilians.”

Oct. 7, 2001
BUSH: “We did not ask for this mission, but we will fulfill it. … We defend not only our precious freedoms, but also the freedom of people everywhere to live and raise their children free from fear.”
————————————————————————–

When Bush got us into Iraq, the screams from the left were “BLOOD FOR OIL!” and “We have no national interest in Iraq,” and “How is Saddam Hussein a threat to us?” and “Bush is a war criminal.”

Isn’t it strange how 99.9% of the media and the left refuse to acknowledge that Obama is doing the same things or worse as Bush? Isn’t it also strange how now that Obama owns Iraq and Afghanistan, you hear very little about them anymore? Where are the daily body counts on the news? Where are the daily interviews with protesters? Where are the Cindy Sheehan’s of the world hiding now?

Remember when the price of oil climbed above $100/bbl and gasoline hit over $3 a gallon under Bush? Remember the cries of “Bush/Haliburton are evil, and it’s all their fault,” and “Bush needs to be impeached?” Now that oil is back over $100/bbl, and gas is at a national average of $4/gal, more than twice where it was when Obama took office, AND the Obama energy policy DEMONSTRABLY contributes to the increase, WHERE are the cries to impeach Obama and remove his energy czars?

I almost NEVER find myself agreeing with someone like Ralph Nader, but he is one of the few on the left who is at least giving an apples to apples comparison of Bush’s to Obama’s actions. While I think he has many facts wrong, at the end of this clip he makes THE statement that both liberals AND conservatives must come to grips with. “If Bush should have been impeached, Obama should be impeached.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axCLQQzMtsw&feature=player_embedded

Now, when it comes to Libya, Obama can’t make up his own opinion about the deal. Doing so and displaying actual leadership on the matter would infringe on his golf, party, vacation, Andy-Warhol-ish-need-my-15-minutes-of-fame lifestyle where he loves to enjoy the perks of being president while doing none of the actual work. He has been all over the map on Libya and the unrest in the mid-east, and our European allies, as well as the muslim world, are confused to say the least. As NYT writers Helene Cooper and Steven Meyers write, Obama is basically following the women (Hillary Clinton, Samantha Power, and Susan Rice) to war. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/19/world/africa/19policy.html?_r=2&hpw Now we are involved in combat in a THIRD middle eastern country with our shrinking, crumbling, underfunded military behind a “leader” who says we are creating enemies in the middle east, and spending too much money and wasting too many lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What was it the two guys on the Guinness commercial said? Oh, yeah. “BRILLIANT!”

Now, about that Nobel Peace Prize that the mOssiah was preemptively awarded for saying he would do great things, and bring peace to the world? I got your worthless peace prize right here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE5ndLZ0768&feature=player_embedded
