ISIS leader who executed Army Ranger killed by coalition forces in Syria

An ISIS leader who took part in the abduction and beheading of a US veteran has been killed in Syria by way of drone strike, according to a NATO coalition spokesman.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Sean Ryan reported the death of Abu al-Umarayn, who was killed over the weekend by ordnance released by a US drone.

Al-Umarayn played a major role in the kidnapping and murder of Peter Kassig, a former US Army Ranger turned aid worker.

“Al-Umarayn had given indications of posing an imminent threat to coalition forces and he was involved in the killing of American citizen and former US Army Ranger, Peter Kassig,” Ryan told reporters. “He has been linked to and directly involved with executing several other prisoners as a senior ISIS member. Coalition airstrikes continue to disrupt ISIS command and control on the battlefield as we remove key figures from their ranks.”

According to Express, the Kassig was working as an aid worker in Syria when he was abducted in 2013, and was killed after ISIS executed British aid worker Alan Henning.

Since being defeated in Iraq and Syria, ISIS has been forced to recede from their once large caliphate, and are currently being targeted in their few remaining Middle Eastern strongholds.

The article below is an excellent exposition on the koran, and what we MUST do to combat the ideology it preaches if we are to survive.  The evidence shows the koran to have been dreamed up entirely from the mind of a violent, lying pedophile, and foisted on unsuspecting followers who respected strength more than intelligence.  These followers now go beyond faith to blind adherence to the book, and act as though the god they follow isn’t strong enough to defend himself by killing ANYONE who disagrees with or disparages this ‘god.’  How do you combat such an ideology?  By proving the fallacy of it.

The above are statements made by would-be and successful jihadists to explain their motivations for planning or executing acts of terror in America. Jihadists in other parts of the world say much the same thing. Where, then, do they get the idea that this is what Allah wants them to do?

Jihadists usually cite the Koran as the source of their motivation. For example, Terry Lee Loewen explained his planned jihad attack on Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport last December as follows:

I don’t understand how you can read the Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet and not understand that jihad and the implementation of Sharia is absolutely demanded of all the Muslim Ummah.

So how can we disabuse terrorists and potential terrorists of the notion that Allah wants them to kill infidels? The obvious place to start is with the Koran. We can’t say, however, that there is absolutely no warrant in the Koran for killing unbelievers, because there patently is. “When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them” (9:5) is typical of many similar verses. According to a content analysis conducted by the Center for the Study of Political Islam, 24 percent of the Medinan verses of the Koran are devoted to jihad. Or, as Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud once declared, “Allah on 480 occasions in the Holy Koran extols Muslims to wage jihad.”
